WARNING: Prevent serious injury or death from falls or sliding out. Always secure child in the restraint. NEVER leave child unattended.

WARNING: The child should be secured in the high chair at all times by the 5-point restraining system, either in the reclining, semi-reclining or upright position. The tray is not designed to hold the child in the chair. It is recommended that the high chair be used in the upright position only by children capable of sitting upright unassisted. See page 19 for instructions on proper use of restraint system.

  • Other accessory items may change the balance of the high chair and cause hazardous unstable conditions; use approved Baby Trend toys.
  • Be certain the high chair is fully erect and latched in the open position before allowing the child near the high chair.
  • Use of the high chair with a child weighing more than 40 pounds (18.14 kg) will cause excessive wear and stress on the high chair.
  • The maximum weight that can be carried in the basket is 5 pounds (2.26 kg). Excessive weight may cause a hazardous unstable condition to exist.
  • NEVER allow your high chair to be used as a toy.
  • NEVER use this product if there are any loose or missing fasteners, loose joints, broken parts, or torn mesh/fabric. Check before assembly and periodically during use. Contact Baby Trend Customer Service at 1-800-328-7363 for replacement parts, repair or instructions. NEVER substitute parts.

Note: This model may not include some features shown. Check that you have all parts before assembling.

Assembly Instructions

IMPORTANT: Adult assembly is required. Always check that the high chair is locked in the open position before using.

Step 1: Prepare Seat Base

Place the Seat Base on a flat surface. (Refer to Figure 1 for placement).

Step 2: Attach Seat Back to Seat Base

Join the Seat Back to the Seat Base using the Seat Back Hinge Rod. To install the hinge rod, press down on the hinge rod retainer and insert the rod into the hinge from right to left. (Refer to Figure 2).

Step 3: Attach Height Brackets

Slide the left and right Height Brackets onto the Seat Base. Snap the brackets into place. (Refer to Figures 3a and 3b).

Step 4: Attach Footrest

Slide the Footrest onto the Seat Base. Snap the Footrest into place. (Refer to Figure 4).

Step 5: Attach Upper Frame Assembly (Right Side)

Insert the front tube of the right side Upper Frame Assembly into the corresponding Height Bracket. The front tube is distinguished by holes on its backside. (Refer to Figure 5).

Step 6: Secure Upper Frame Assembly

Squeeze the Red Release Handle and push the tube through the Height Bracket until it locks in the highest position. (Refer to Figure 6).

Step 7: Attach Upper Frame Assembly (Left Side)

Repeat Steps 5 and 6 for the left side Upper Frame Assembly. (Refer to Figure 7).

Step 8: Attach Front Legs

Insert the front legs into the ends of the front tubes of both the right and left Upper Frame Assemblies. Ensure the push buttons align with the holes on the ends of the tubes and engage securely. (Refer to Figure 8).

Step 9: Attach Rear Legs

Insert the rear legs into the ends of the rear tubes of both the right and left Upper Frame Assemblies. (Refer to Figure 9).

Step 10: Attach Wheels

Attach each of the casters and front wheels to the high chair feet. Ensure all wheels and casters are securely fastened. (Refer to Figure 10).

Step 11: Attach Crotch Retainer

Flip over the Tray to attach the Crotch Retainer. The plastic housing should face the front slot. Insert the 4 (3.5mm x 10) Screws and tighten, but do not overtighten. (Refer to Figure 11).

Step 12: Attach Seat Pad (Top)

Loop the flap on the back of the Seat Pad over the top of the Seat Back. Connect the Seat Pad to the Seat Back using the two Elastic Loops, fitting them over the Attachment Tabs near the top harness slots. (Refer to Figure 12).

Step 13: Attach Seat Pad (Bottom)

Attach the bottom of the Seat Pad to the Seat Base using the two Elastic Loops located at the rear of the pad. These fit over Attachment Tabs on the Seat Base. Set the Seat Insert onto the Seat Pad. (Refer to Figure 13).

Step 14: Thread Harness Straps

Thread the non-buckle end of the Harness Straps (Harness Attachment Tabs) through the provided slots in the Seat Fabric, Seat Insert, Seat Back, and Seat Base. Rotate the Harness Attachment Tabs 90 degrees to ensure they are firmly in place. (Refer to Figure 14).

Step 15: Remove Seat Back (for Infant Car Seat Attachment)

To remove the Seat Back: With one hand, press down on the hinge rod retainer. With the other hand, slide the hinge rod to the right. Pull the rod out of the seat hinge and lift the seat back away. (Refer to Figure 15). Note: After removal, slide the rod back into the hinge for storage.

Step 16: Open High Chair

Push the button and push the legs apart until fully open and locked. Push on the fold levers (left and right) to ensure the frame is locked. (Refer to Figure 16).

Step 17: Attach and Operate Tray

To attach the Tray, align the grooves on the bottom of the tray with the armrests. Squeeze the Tray's release handle and slide the tray onto the armrests. The tray has a 3-position adjustment. To adjust, squeeze the release handle underneath the tray and reposition. Release the handle and check that the tray is securely locked. (Refer to Figures 17a and 17b).

To Attach Insert Tray: The dishwasher-safe Tray Insert snaps onto the High Chair Tray and is held by tabs. Ensure it snaps into place. To remove, unsnap the tabs.

Step 18: Recline Seat

Squeeze the recline lever on the back of the seat and adjust to the preferred recline or upright position. Be careful not to catch the child's arms, hands, or legs. (Refer to Figure 18).

Step 19: Use Safety Belt

Place the child's arms through the shoulder and waist strap loops. Place the crotch strap between the child's legs. Insert the Harness Buckles into the Center Clasp with the Red Button. Adjust shoulder and waist straps for comfort and safety by sliding buckles. Ensure straps fit snugly. (Refer to Figure 19).

Note: The tray is not designed to hold the child. Always keep the child in view and never leave them unattended.

Step 20: Release Safety Belt

Push the Red Button on the Center Clasp to release the Harness Buckles. (Refer to Figure 20).

Step 21: Adjust Seat Height

Squeeze both the left and right levers of the Height Adjustment Bracket and adjust to the desired position. Ensure the bracket is level and locked on both sides before placing the child in the chair. (Refer to Figure 21).

Step 22: Fold High Chair

Place the Seat Back in the most upright position. (Refer to Figure 22).

Step 23: Prepare for Folding

Squeeze the tray release handle and slide the tray out. Hang the tray on the hooks located on the back of the rear leg. (Refer to Figures 23a and 23b).

Step 24: Fold High Chair

Push buttons located on the sides of the frame and push the rear legs towards the front legs until folded. The chair is now ready to be put away. DO NOT allow children to play around a folded high chair as it may fall.

Step 25: Unfold High Chair

Push the button and push the legs apart until fully open and locked. Push on the fold levers (left and right) to ensure the frame is locked. (Refer to Figure 25).

Maintenance

WARNING: Harness Straps and Basket are NOT washable.

Tray Insert

Dishwasher safe up to 160 degrees Fahrenheit. Do not use scouring pads, as they can damage the surface.

High Chair/Tray

Clean after each use with mild household dish soap. Use a soft bristle brush, sponge, or cloth. DO NOT submerge the high chair or tray in water. Surface clean only.

Seat Pad

Non-Washable Seat Pad: Use a sponge or cloth with mild household detergents for surface cleaning. DO NOT MACHINE WASH.

Washable Seat Pad: Machine wash COLD DELICATE CYCLE with non-chlorine based laundry detergent. DO NOT USE BLEACH. HANG DRY. DO NOT MACHINE DRY.

To remove seat pad: Remove Harness Straps by pushing Harness Attachment Tabs through slots. Remove Elastic Loops from Attachment Tabs.

Basket

Some models have an under-seat basket for storage. To remove, release the four snaps. To attach, feed snap strips around basket slots and press snaps firmly.
