Assembly Instructions
ATTENTION: Carefully remove parts from the box. Check that you have all parts before assembly. NOTE: Some models may have the seat fabric and insert attached to the seat back.
To Assemble Seat
- Locate the Right and Left Upper Frame Assemblies and Height Brackets. Pair them up as shown in the illustration (Fig. 1).
- Identify the front tube (with holes on the backside). Insert the left and right Height Brackets into the front tube of the Upper Frame Assembly. Squeeze the Release Handles on both sides simultaneously and push the tube through the Height Adjusters until it locks in the highest position (Fig. 2b).
- Insert the Legs into the ends of the front tube of both Upper Frame Assemblies. Ensure lock buttons align with holes and are engaged (Fig. 3).
- Insert the other Legs into the ends of the rear tube of both Upper Frame Assemblies. Ensure lock buttons align with holes and are engaged (Fig. 4).
- Insert metal tabs (1) and (2) into the seat base slot until secured. Ensure the backrest sits correctly in the base (Fig. 5a). For pin setup, the backrest must be in the most upright position before inserting pins (Fig. 5b). Press pins in until fully seated on both sides of the seat base and test recline (Fig. 5c). CAUTION: Pins must catch both base and backrest (Fig. 5d).
- Align the Seat Base into the Height Brackets, ensuring they are locked (Fig. 5e).
- Slide the Footrest into the Height Bracket and lock it (Fig. 6). To adjust height, squeeze both tabs simultaneously and lift. To remove, squeeze tabs and pull out.
- Attach the seat pad: Loop the back flap of the pad over the top of the Seat Back and connect with elastic loops to attachment tabs near harness slots (Fig. 7a). Attach the bottom of the Seat Pad to the Seat Base with elastic loops to tabs on the seat base (Fig. 7b). Attach each anchor hook of the Seat Pad to the side of the seat armrest, ensuring the slot slides through the underside division (Fig. 7c, 7d).
To Attach Tray
- To attach the Tray, squeeze the release handle underneath and press firmly into the positioning slots (Fig. 8a). The tray has a 4-position adjustment. Squeeze the handle to reposition the tray and release to lock (Fig. 8b).
To Attach Tray Insert
- The dishwasher-safe Tray Insert snaps onto the High Chair Tray. Ensure it snaps into place. To remove, unsnap the tabs.
- The tray can be stored on the back legs of the High Chair by aligning holes with pegs (Fig. 9).
Operation
Using the Safety Belt
The highchair is for children capable of sitting upright unassisted, at least 6 months old.
Prevent injury/death from falls. Always use the restraint system. Secure child at all times with the 5-point system (reclining, semi-reclining, or upright). The tray does not hold the child. Stay near and supervise. Never leave the child alone.
- The 5-point harness shoulder straps have 2 positions. Select the position that places the strap level with or below the child's shoulders (Fig. 10a).
- Place child in seat. Position harness around waist and over shoulders. Place crotch strap between legs. Insert male ends of shoulder/waist belts into the crotch strap buckle. Tighten harness snugly around waist and over shoulders (Fig. 10b).
To Release Safety Belt
- Push the red button on the center clasp to release the two harness buckles (Fig. 11).
Recline Seat
- Squeeze the recline lever on the back of the seat and adjust to the desired position (reclining or upright) (Fig. 12). Be careful not to trap limbs when adjusting.
To Adjust Seat Height
WARNING: Do not adjust seat height with child in seat. Adjust before placing child in chair.
WARNING: Ensure height adjustment bracket is level and both sides are locked before placing child in chair.
WARNING: Never rest the height adjustment bracket on the locking pins.
- Squeeze the Release Handles on both sides simultaneously and adjust the height (Fig. 13a, 13b). Do not adjust with child in the seat. Ensure brackets lock in the lowest position. Do not rest brackets on locking pins (Fig. 13c).
To Fold High Chair
The high chair can be folded with the seat in any height position.
- Place seat in desired height position. Place seat back in the most upright position (Fig. 14).
- Squeeze the tray release handle and slide the tray out (Fig. 15).
- Hang the tray on the hooks on the back of the rear leg (Fig. 16).
- Pull upward on the release levers (on the sides of the frame) and push the rear legs towards the front legs until folded (Fig. 17). The chair is ready to store. Do not allow children to play around a folded high chair as it may fall.
TO UNFOLD HIGH CHAIR: Read warning and see (Fig. 17), then reverse steps.
WARNING: Do not sit on the frame without the seat. Do not use frame as a foot stool. Potential pinch point when opening frame.
To Reattach Seat Pad
- Thread harness attachment tabs (non-buckle end) through slots in seat fabric, insert, seat back, and seat base (Fig. 18). Rotate tabs 90 degrees. Ensure straps are secure.
- Loop back flap of pad over top of seat back and connect with elastic loops to attachment tabs (Fig. 19).
- Attach bottom of seat pad to seat base with elastic loops to attachment tabs on seat base (Fig. 20a). Attach anchor hooks to side of seat armrest, ensuring slot slides through underside division (Fig. 20b, 20c).
TO REMOVE SEAT PAD: Reverse previous steps.
Optional Seat Insert
- Set Seat Insert onto Seat Pad. See step 18.
Care and Maintenance
WARNING: Harness Straps are NOT washable.
- Dishwasher Safe Tray Insert: The Tray Insert is dishwasher safe to 160°F (71°C). Do not use scouring pads, as they can damage the surface.
- High Chair/Tray: Use mild soap and a damp cloth after each use. Use only a soft bristle brush, sponge, or cloth to clean. Do NOT submerge the high chair or tray in water. Surface clean only.
- Seat Pad and Fabrics: Refer to the care label on individual pieces for cleaning instructions.
To remove the seat pad: Remove harness straps by pushing attachment tabs through harness slots on seat back, base, and pad. Remove elastic loops from attachment tabs.
To attach the seat pad: Follow instructions in Step 19 for re-threading the safety harness.
