Safety Warnings
Safety Instructions
Before using the HP product, read all operating and safety instructions to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, personal injury, and property damage. The operating temperature and storage/charging temperature range is 10 °C to 40 °C.
- Use only HP-branded products and accessories that are intended for use with this product.
- If skin irritation occurs after using the product, discontinue use and contact HP.
- CHILDREN. Never allow children to play with the product – small parts may present a choking hazard.
- Do not disassemble the product, as this may expose you to dangerous voltage or other hazards. Improper reassembly can cause electric shock or fire when the product is used again.
- If the product overheats or the outer casing, cable, or connector is damaged, unplug the product, discontinue use, and contact HP.
- Extremely loud volume or high acoustic pressure can lead to temporary or permanent hearing damage. Although there is no single sound setting that is suitable for everyone, you should always set the headset or earbuds to a moderate volume and avoid listening to loud sound for extended periods. The louder the sound, the sooner hearing damage may occur. You may encounter different sound volume levels when using the headset or earbuds with various devices. The device used and its settings affect the sound you hear. If you experience hearing problems, stop listening to the device through the headset or earbuds and have your hearing examined by a doctor. To protect your hearing, some medical professionals recommend the following:
- Before putting on the headset or earbuds, set the volume control to a low level and listen to the sound at the lowest comfortable volume.
- Do not turn up the volume to overcome ambient noise. If possible, use the headset or earbuds in a quiet environment with low ambient noise.
- Limit the time you use the headset or earbuds at high volume.
- Turn down the volume if you cannot hear people talking nearby because of the sound from the headset or earbuds.
Driving and Cycling
If you use a headset or earbuds while driving or cycling, familiarize yourself with local laws regarding mobile phone and headset use, and pay full attention and concentration to safe driving. If you use a headset or earbuds that cover both ears, your ability to hear other sounds will be reduced. In most areas, their use while operating a motor vehicle or bicycle is prohibited by law, as you may seriously endanger yourself and other traffic participants.
Earbuds
If earbuds/ear tips are included with this product, use them according to the included instructions. Do not force the earbuds/ear tips into the ear canal. If they become stuck in the ear canal, seek medical attention.
Power Adapter
Plug the wall adapter or charger into an outlet near the device that is easily accessible.
Battery Warnings for Wireless Products
- If your product has a built-in, non-removable battery, do not attempt to open the product or remove the battery, as this could cause injury or product damage. If your product uses removable batteries, use only HP-supplied batteries. Remove the battery immediately after it is discharged.
- Replace rechargeable batteries after three years or 300 charge cycles, whichever comes first.
- Do not dispose of the product or battery in a fire or leave it in a place with a temperature higher than 40 °C.
- Do not expose the battery to extremely high temperatures. This could cause an explosion or leakage of flammable liquid or gas.
- Do not open, deform, or damage the battery. It may contain corrosive materials that can cause eye or skin injury, and may be toxic if swallowed.
- Never put batteries in your mouth. If swallowed, seek medical attention or contact a poison control center. Swallowing can lead to burns, perforation of soft tissue, and death. Severe burns can occur within 2 hours of ingestion.
- Always store batteries in a location inaccessible to children.
- Prevent the battery or its holder from coming into contact with metal objects, such as keys or coins.
- RECYCLING: The product battery must be recycled or disposed of in accordance with regulations. Contact your local recycling center for information on removing and disposing of the battery in accordance with regulations.
- Use only the HP-supplied charger to charge the product and follow the included instructions. If the headset is intended to be charged using a mobile phone charger, use only phone chargers approved and supplied by your mobile phone manufacturer. Do not use the charger for any other purpose. Ensure the voltage matches the power source you intend to use.
