Important Safety Information

WARNING: Serious or fatal crushing injuries can occur from furniture tip-over. To prevent this furniture from tipping over, it must be permanently fixed to the wall using the wall attachment fittings included in the packaging. If the product is to be hanged on the wall, it must be done using the designated suspension rail (sold separately at IKEA). Assess the wall to ensure that it will withstand the weight. As wall materials vary, screws for wall fixation are not included. For advice on suitable screw systems for your wall, contact your local specialised dealer. Wall fixing/hanging must be carried out by a qualified person, since wrong fixation may cause injury or damage.

Assembly Steps

The following steps detail the assembly of the IKEA EKET cabinet. Ensure you have all parts before beginning.

1. Step 1: Prepare the side panels and base/top panels. Insert dowels and cam locks as shown in the diagrams.
2. Step 2: Attach the side panels to the base panel. Ensure the cam locks are tightened correctly.
3. Step 3: Attach the other side panel to the base panel.
4. Step 4: Place the top panel onto the assembled sides and base. Secure with cam locks.
5. Step 5: Attach the back panel. Slide it into the grooves provided.
6. Step 6: Secure the back panel using the provided fasteners.
7. Step 7: Attach the feet to the bottom of the cabinet.
8. Step 8: If wall mounting, identify the correct wall mounting hardware for your wall type.
9. Step 9: Attach the wall mounting bracket to the cabinet.
10. Step 10: Position the cabinet against the wall and mark the drilling points for the wall bracket.
11. Step 11: Drill holes in the wall and insert appropriate wall anchors if necessary.
12. Step 12: Secure the cabinet to the wall using the wall mounting bracket and screws.
13. Step 13: Attach any additional decorative caps or covers as shown.
14. Step 14: Final check of all connections and stability.

Wall Mounting
