Assembly Steps

Step 1: Connecting Side Panels

Initial assembly of the frame structure.

Two side panels are shown. One panel features a spring-loaded pin mechanism. A hand is depicted pressing this pin down to align it with a hole on another panel, then releasing it into the hole. Another visual shows a hand inserting a dowel into a hole on one panel before aligning it with a corresponding hole on the adjacent panel. A third diagram illustrates a hand inserting a screw into a designated hole.

Visual cues include arrows indicating insertion and connection points. A crossed-out image (❌) highlights an incorrect alignment or method.

Step 2: Attaching the Base Panel

Securing the bottom of the unit.

The partially assembled frame from Step 1 is shown. A long base panel is being inserted into the bottom of the frame. Arrows (➡️) indicate the direction of insertion.

Step 3: Attaching the Second Side Panel

Completing the main frame.

The structure from Step 2 is depicted. The second side panel is being attached. A close-up view shows a hand pressing a pin mechanism to secure the panel, similar to the action in Step 1.

Step 4: Inserting the Back Panel

Sliding the back panel into place.

The assembled frame is shown lying on its front. A thin back panel is being slid into grooves along the back edges of the side and base panels. Arrows (➡️) indicate the sliding motion. Close-up diagrams show hands guiding the panel into the grooves.

Step 5: Securing the Back Panel

Fastening the back panel to the frame.

The frame with the back panel inserted is shown. Small fasteners (screws or clips) are being inserted into pre-drilled holes along the edges of the back panel to secure it to the frame. The diagram indicates the use of 8x fasteners (Parts: 151705 and 151706).

Step 6: Attaching Base Components

Preparing the base for feet attachment.

The assembled unit is shown. Two base components (Part: 150688) are being attached to the underside of the unit. Arrows (➡️) indicate placement and connection. A close-up shows the component being attached, possibly with screws and a cap.

Step 7: Attaching Feet

Installing the furniture feet.

The unit with base components attached is shown. Two feet (Part: 150689) are being screwed into the base components. Arrows (?) indicate rotation for attachment.

Step 8: Preparing for Wall Mounting

Attaching wall mounting hardware to the unit.

The assembled unit is shown upright. Diagrams illustrate how to attach wall mounting brackets or plates (Part: 10090922) to the top rear edge of the unit. Arrows (➡️) indicate alignment and attachment points. A close-up shows the bracket being secured.

Step 9: Adjusting Shelf Positions

Indicating shelf adjustability.

The unit is shown. Double-headed arrows (↔️) indicate that the internal shelves (not shown being installed, but implied) can be adjusted to different heights using the perforated side panels.

Step 10: Attaching Top/Back Plate and Wall Securing

Finalizing top attachment and emphasizing wall security.

The unit is shown. A top/back plate (Part: 126916) is being attached to the top rear. Two circular connectors (Part: 10005905) are shown being clicked into place with a [click sound]. A crossed-out image (❌) strongly advises against using the furniture without securing it to the wall.

Step 11: Joining Two Units Side-by-Side

Connecting multiple PLATSA units.

Two assembled units are shown side-by-side. A connector plate (Part: 10090922) is used to join them. Arrows (➡️) show the plate being positioned and secured with screws (Part: 146113) into pre-drilled holes on the adjacent units. A close-up shows the screw insertion and tightening (?).

Step 12: Stacking Units

Assembling taller configurations.

A diagram illustrates a lower unit and an upper unit being stacked. A measurement indicates a maximum stack height of 300 cm (118 7/64"). Another diagram shows the LÄTTHET connection system being used to secure the stacked units, with a hand holding the components.

Step 13: Connecting Stacked Units

Securing stacked units together.

A close-up shows how to connect the stacked units using specific hardware (Parts: 152059 and 108736). Arrows (?) indicate screwing the components together to ensure stability.
