1. Product Overview
Ctronics CTIPC security cameras are designed for indoor or outdoor use, available in various shapes and functions. They support Android and iOS smartphones, as well as Windows and Mac PCs. Users can install multiple Ctronics CTIPC cameras on a single device.
After powering on, the camera begins to operate and can be used as a standalone video recorder. It is recommended to connect the system to a mobile device or PC for easy access.
2. Setup and Installation
2.1 Downloading and Installing the Mobile App
Search for the "Ctronics pro" application on the App Store or Google Play, download, and install it on your phone.
Note: When connecting to the camera, you may receive a prompt asking "Does the mobile phone use APP permissions?" Select "Yes" to enable all APP functions.

2.2 Account Registration
- Open the APP and select "Register" to access the registration interface.
- To register, enter your email and password. Once confirmed, click "Register" to complete the configuration.

2.3 Wi-Fi Connection
Before Use:
- SD Card: If using an SD card, insert a Micro SD card (2-128GB) before powering on. If inserted after power-on, detection may fail, requiring a restart.
- Wi-Fi Range: For Wi-Fi connection, keep the product and your mobile phone between 30cm and 100cm from the router.
- App Permissions: Before adding the camera, enable Bluetooth and location permissions for the APP. Then, turn on your phone's Bluetooth to prepare for connection. Failure to open the APP may cause connection failure.
2.3.1 Method A: Ctronics IP Camera Bluetooth Connection (Not for all models)

- Connect the camera to a suitable power supply and place it near your mobile device and router.
- After powering on and self-testing, press and hold the "Reset" button for 8 seconds. Release it after hearing the reset confirmation beep. (Allow 1 minute after this step before proceeding.)
- Access your mobile device's WLAN settings, find your home Wi-Fi network, and connect to it.
- Open the "Ctronics pro" mobile app. Tap the "+" icon (Fig. 3) and select "Camera (WIFI/Cavo)" (Fig. 10) to access the device addition interface (Fig. 11).
- Follow the on-screen instructions to activate Bluetooth (Fig. 4).
- The APP will automatically search for Bluetooth-enabled cameras. Select the camera's UID information to add it (Fig. 5).
- Select an available Wi-Fi network and enter the Wi-Fi password to complete the addition (Fig. 6, 7).
- The device will be added successfully. You can then set a name for the camera (Fig. 8).

2.3.2 Method B: Configure Network via Mobile Hotspot

Phase 1: Preparation
- Connect the camera to a proper power supply and place it near your mobile device and router.
- After powering on and self-testing, press and hold the "Reset" button for 8 seconds and release it when you hear the reset confirmation beep. (Allow 1 minute after this step before proceeding.)
- Access your mobile device's WLAN settings, find your home Wi-Fi network, and connect to it.
Phase 2: Connect the Camera to Wi-Fi
- Open the "Ctronics pro" mobile app. Tap the "+" icon (Fig. 9) and select "Camera (WIFI/Cavo)" (Fig. 10) to access the device addition interface (Fig. 11).
- Click "New device" and verify the camera is powered on (Fig. 12). If so, click "Power is on. Next step" to proceed to the network cable connection confirmation. If no network cable is connected, click "Not connected to network cable" (Fig. 13) to select the network configuration interface.
- Choose "Not connected to network cable" as the addition method (Fig. 13) and click "Go to add" to scan the QR code on the camera (Fig. 14). After scanning, the camera's hotspot connection will be automatic. Click "CONNECT" (Fig. 15) to access the wireless configuration interface.
- Select your home Wi-Fi network, enter the password, confirm it, and click "Configure wireless and add" (Fig. 16) for configuration. The camera will automatically connect to the Wi-Fi network. Click "confirm" to add the camera (Fig. 17).
Note: Ensure your home Wi-Fi password is no more than 31 characters and contains no special characters like "?!" or "&,.". It is recommended that the password includes both digits and letters.

3. Camera Password Setup
The default camera password is "admin". For enhanced security, after initial configuration, you will be prompted to change the password upon first access. Follow the on-screen instructions to create a new password of at least 8 characters, including letters and numbers. Store your new password securely. If you encounter a "password error", reset the camera and repeat the configuration process.
Deleting a Camera: Swipe right on the device in the list to reveal the delete button. Click "Delete" to remove the camera.
4. App Usage and Features
The main APP interface allows users to view saved videos from the mobile device's MicroSD card, view screenshots, and local camera videos. You can also visit the camera and set parameters (Fig. 21).
4.1 Main Interface Features (Fig. 21)
- Sidebar: Displays account information, local files, and access to the store for purchasing products. For product inquiries, click the online customer service icon.
- Four-Screen View: In the four-screen settings, click "Add four-screen group". Enter a group name and select cameras to add. Click "OK" to view real-time images from four cameras simultaneously.
- Add Camera: Tap "+" to select the device to connect based on the camera model.
- MicroSD Card Video Playback: Click the icon to view videos and files in "Temporal Playback", "File Playback", and "Image Playback".
4.2 Video Playback
- Temporal Playback: Select "All Videos" or "Alarm Video". Choose the desired date and time to view corresponding videos (Fig. 22).
- File Playback: Search for a video at a specific time, play it, and download it to your mobile phone (Fig. 23).

4.3 Live View Interface (Fig. 24)
This interface displays real-time camera images. Users can operate the camera's PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom), set preset positions, use the intercom, take photos and videos, and view split-screen displays.
Live View Controls:
- 1. Camera List: Displays camera name information.
- 2. Real-time Camera Image: Shows the live view of the camera.
- 3. PTZ Control: Controls camera movement (up, down, left, right) and zoom. (Fixed focus cameras may not support zoom).
- 4. Preset Position Setup: Move the camera to a position, enter a number (e.g., "1"), and click "Set" to save it as a preset. To move to a preset position, enter the corresponding number and click "Call".
- 5. Image Settings: Adjust color balance, brightness, etc.
- 6. Electronic Zoom: Zoom into a specific part of the image.
- 7. Intercom Function: Press and hold the button to speak with someone on the other side of the camera.
- 8. Volume Adjustment: Adjust input and output volume.
- 9. Manual Recording: Record the current image and save it as a local file on the APP.
- 10. Save Image: Take a screenshot of the current image and save it locally on the APP.
- 11. Split Screen: Choose single or multiple screens for viewing.
- 12. Full Screen Mode: View the image in full screen.
- 13. Hide Event: Hide the event box at the bottom.
- 14. Distant View: View the image from a distance.
- 15. Close-up View: View a zoomed-in image.
- 16. Adaptive Video Size: Adjust video dimensions adaptively for different screen sizes.

4.4 Camera Settings
Access camera settings to adjust parameters:
- (1) Settings: Access the parameter settings interface to adjust camera parameters.
- (2) Image Quality Mode: Choose between "HD" and "SD" for image preview.
- (3) Sound Monitoring: Monitor sounds near the camera.
- (4) Manual Recording: Record the current video and save it as a local file on the APP.
- (5) Screenshot: Capture a screenshot of the current screen and save it as a local image on the APP.
- (6) Voice Intercom: Press and hold the icon for voice intercom.
- (7) PTZ Operation Button: Operate PTZ for rotation (up, down, left, right).
- (8) Connection Screen Display: When this icon is moved, the dome camera's lens will quickly move to that position for detailed viewing.
- (9) Dual Lens Linkage: When enabled, if the main bullet camera detects movement, the dome camera will automatically track the object until it disappears.
- (10) Volume Control: Set input and output volume for the camera.
- (11) Preset Position: Move the camera to a position, enter a number (e.g., "1"), and click "Set" to save it. Repeat for other positions. To recall a preset, enter the number and click "Call".
- (12) Night Vision Mode:
- Infrared Light Mode: Activates infrared light for black and white photos.
- Full-Color Mode: Activates white light for color images.
- Intelligent Mode: Activates infrared for B&W when no human is detected; activates white light for color when a human is detected. Returns to B&W after 30 seconds of no human detection.
- (13) Intelligent Tracking: PTZ rotates to follow detected human movement until it disappears, then returns to the original position.
Camera Settings Interface (Fig. 25):
The settings interface includes options for:
- Cloud Service: Subscribe to cloud service for video recording. (Some cameras may not support this.)
- Wireless Setup: Connect to your home Wi-Fi.
- Password Change: Change the default "admin" password.
- Video Occlusion Function: Obscure specific areas in the video for privacy.
- Alarm Management: Configure push notifications for motion detection, set alarm plans (simple/advanced), and link alarms (audio alerts).
- Video Settings: View encoding speed and frame rate (parameters are system-adaptive).
- Audio Settings: Set input/output volume.
- SD Card Recording Plan: Set bitstream, video file duration, and recording periods.
- SD Card Settings: View storage space and format the card.
- Time Settings: Set the camera's time and time zone.
- Default Settings: Restart and reset the camera.
- Device Information: View software version, IP address, network type, etc.
- Share Camera: Share camera access via email with specified permissions (Fig. 26).
- Delete and Unlink Camera: Remove the camera from the app.

5. Using HIP2P Software for PC/Mac
The Ctronics security cameras can be connected to a PC/Mac using the "HiP2P" software, available for download from the Ctronics Support-Download website.
Note: The Mac interface is simplified compared to Windows; some functions may only be available on Windows. The default login password is "admin" (can be left blank).
5.1 Connecting the Camera via HIP2P
- Run the "HiP2P" software on your computer. The default password is blank.
- Click the settings icon on the menu bar and select the device UID input button (Fig. 27-1).
- Enter the camera's UID and name. The default password is "admin". (UID is on the camera's label) (Fig. 27-2).
- In the preview interface, select the device, right-click, and drag the camera into the screen window.
- After a few seconds, the camera status will show "Online" (Fig. 28).

5.2 Preview Interface
This interface is used to view the camera's real-time image, operate PTZ, set preset positions, use the intercom, take photos and videos, and perform split-screen viewing (Fig. 29).
Preview Interface Controls (Fig. 29):
- Camera List: View camera name and temporal information.
- Real-time Camera Image: Display the live camera feed.
- PTZ Control: Control camera movement and zoom.
- Preset Position Setup: Set and recall camera positions.
- Image Settings: Adjust image parameters like color balance and brightness.
- Electronic Zoom: Zoom into parts of the image.
- Intercom Function: Speak through the camera.
- Volume Adjustment: Adjust volume levels.
- Manual Recording: Record the live image and save it to the computer's disk.
- Save Image: Take a screenshot of the live image and save it to the computer's disk.
- Split Screen Number: Choose single or multiple screen layouts.
- Full Screen Mode: View the image in full screen.
- Hide Event: Hide the event box.
- Distant View: View the image from afar.
- Close-up View: View a zoomed-in image.
- Adaptive Video Size: Adjust video size for full-screen viewing.

5.3 Remote Playback (Fig. 30)
Remote playback allows viewing videos recorded on the TF card. Select the camera, recording type, date, and time to find and play the desired video.
Remote Playback Controls:
- File List: View video file names and temporal information from the SD card.
- Video Type: Filter videos by type.
- Select Channel: Choose different cameras to view.
- Recording Time: Play recordings from different periods (year, month, day, hour).
- Camera Video Image: Display the camera's video feed.
- Play Button: Start video playback.
- Pause Playback: Pause the video.
- Save Image: Take a screenshot of the playback screen and save it to the computer.
- Electronic Zoom: Zoom into parts of the image.
- Full Screen Mode: View the image in full screen.
- Volume Adjustment: Adjust volume.
- Video Progress Bar: Navigate through the video.

5.4 Settings (Fig. 31)
Manage your camera within the software:
- Area Management: Add, modify, or delete areas.
- Add Camera: Enter UID, name, and password to add a camera.
- Manage Camera: Modify or delete added cameras.
- Search Local Camera: Find and add local cameras.
Parameter Settings (Fig. 32):
- 1. Video: View video parameters, set OSD, and video frame rate (parameters are system-adaptive).
- 2. Image Settings: View image parameters and enable/disable smart tracking.
- 3. Audio: Set input and output volume.
- 4. Alarm Settings: Configure motion detection, set alarm schedules, record to PC disk, and set PC sound alarms.
- 5. Network: View network information like IP address, HTTP port, etc.
- 6. SD Card: Set TF card recording type, duration, and format the card.
- 7. Timed Capture: Set image saving to TF card and FTP.
- 8. PTZ: Configure PTZ parameters.
- 9. Login Info: Modify the camera's password.
- 10. System: Set device time zone and view device information.
- 11. 4G Settings: Configure 4G network settings.
- 12. Motion Detection: Set detection areas and sensitivity.

6. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- 1. How do I turn on the camera?
The camera turns on automatically and self-checks the gimbal. There is no power indicator. You can cover the light sensor to simulate night mode and check if the infrared LED is on, indicating power.
- 2. What if the camera network "IPCAM-xxxxxx" is not found and the mobile device cannot connect?
Reset the camera to factory settings, then search again with your mobile device.
- 3. How do I recover the camera password?
If you forget the password, reset the camera to factory settings.
- 4. How do I reset the camera to factory settings?
If the camera is online, use the reset option in the phone app or PC software. If offline, press and hold the reset button for 15-20 seconds.
- 5. How do I delete videos from the TF card?
When the TF card is full, the camera automatically deletes old recordings. To manually delete, format the TF card via the Ctronics pro APP settings.
- 6. The time displayed on recorded video is incorrect. What is the difference from the actual recorded time?
The default time zone is GMT+8. Adjust the camera's time zone settings and enable daylight saving time if applicable. Verify changes after setting.
- 7. Alarm notifications are not received on my smartphone.
On Android, background apps may be closed to save battery. Ensure the Ctronics app is allowed to run in the background via battery optimization settings.
- 8. I can access the TF card and get recorded video, but I cannot play it on my computer.
The recorded video is in H264 format. Download "HiPlayer" from www.ctronics.com to play it, or use "FileConverter" to convert to AVI, or use the HIP2P client directly.
