Intended Use

This product is designed to shred paper. The trash can capacity is 20 litres and the product can shred up to eight sheets of paper. It features an automatic start/stop function and a manual forward/reverse switch to remove paper blockages. This product is intended for indoor use only. Contact with moisture must be avoided. Do not rebuild or modify the product. Improper use can lead to hazards like short circuits, fire, or electric shock. Read the operating instructions carefully and keep them safe.

Overview of Controls and Indicators

The shredder features the following:

Operation

Important: Keep long hair, ties, scarves, loose clothing, long necklaces, or bracelets away from the input slot. Do not touch the cutting blades.

Setting Up

  1. Place the product on an even, horizontal surface.
  2. Insert the trash can drawer into the product.
  3. Prepare material for shredding by removing labels, paper clips, staples, or any other foreign objects.

Shredding

  1. Ensure the on/off switch is in the 'O' position.
  2. Ensure the slide switch is in the 'OFF' position.
  3. Connect the product to the power supply.
  4. Observe shred capacity: Max. 8 sheets of paper (80 g/m²) or 1 credit card per pass.
  5. Set the on/off switch to the 'I' position.
  6. Slide the slide switch to 'AUTO'. The 'Power' LED indicator will light up green.
  7. Insert the item to be shredded into the input slot.
  8. Slide the switch to 'OFF' when finished shredding. The 'Power' LED will turn off.
  9. Set the on/off switch to the 'O' position.
  10. Disconnect the product from the power supply.
  11. Empty the trash can drawer.

Clearing Paper Jams

Important: Always disconnect the shredder from the power supply before attempting to manually remove jammed paper. Never use objects to clear jams.

  1. Slide the switch to 'REV' to back the paper out. If still jammed, slide to 'FWD'.
  2. If the jam persists:
    • Set the on/off switch to 'O'.
    • Slide the slide switch to 'OFF'.
    • Disconnect the shredder from the power supply.
    • Manually remove stuck paper by pulling it out.

Overheat Protection

If the shredder runs continuously for 5 minutes, the motor may overheat, triggering overheat protection. The power will be cut off to allow the shredder to cool down.

  1. Set the on/off switch to 'O' and let the unit cool for approximately 60 minutes before attempting to use it again.

Troubleshooting

The credit card may be transparent and does not activate the sensor.1. Wrap the credit card in paper. 2. Insert together.
Paper may be too thick.Reduce the number of sheets being shredded.
Paper may be too thin, soft, or creased to reliably activate the detection sensor.1. Set the switch to 'REV' to back the paper out. 2. Fold the paper. 3. Try again.

Disposal
