General Information

Electrical Safety
- Ensure the mains socket is near and easily accessible.
- Use only a standard mains socket connected to the public grid. Check voltage compatibility.
- Never unplug by pulling the cable; use the plug grips.
- Unplug when not in use for extended periods.
- Unplug during thunderstorms for safety.
- Ensure the mains cable is not squeezed, bent, damaged by sharp edges, or subjected to mechanical stress. Avoid excessive thermal stress. Do not modify the cable. A damaged cable can cause a fatal electric shock.

General Precautions

Overview of Controls and Indicators
The shredder features the following:
- 1. On/off switch (I / O): Controls the power to the unit.
- 2. LED indicators:
- Door open: Indicates the trash can drawer is not properly closed.
- Power: Indicates the unit is powered on and ready.
- Overheat: Indicates the motor has overheated and needs to cool down.
- 3. FWD, AUTO, OFF, REV slide switch: Controls the shredding operation:
- AUTO: The shredder starts automatically when paper is inserted and stops when done.
- FWD: Forward function, used to clear jams.
- OFF: Shuts down the shredder.
- REV: Reverse function, used to clear jams.
- 4. Trash can drawer: Collects shredded paper.
- 5. Input slot for paper: Where paper and credit cards are inserted for shredding.
Operation
Important: Keep long hair, ties, scarves, loose clothing, long necklaces, or bracelets away from the input slot. Do not touch the cutting blades.
Setting Up
- Place the product on an even, horizontal surface.
- Insert the trash can drawer into the product.
- Prepare material for shredding by removing labels, paper clips, staples, or any other foreign objects.
Shredding
- Ensure the on/off switch is in the 'O' position.
- Ensure the slide switch is in the 'OFF' position.
- Connect the product to the power supply.
- Observe shred capacity: Max. 8 sheets of paper (80 g/m²) or 1 credit card per pass.
- Set the on/off switch to the 'I' position.
- Slide the slide switch to 'AUTO'. The 'Power' LED indicator will light up green.
- Insert the item to be shredded into the input slot.
- Slide the switch to 'OFF' when finished shredding. The 'Power' LED will turn off.
- Set the on/off switch to the 'O' position.
- Disconnect the product from the power supply.
- Empty the trash can drawer.
Clearing Paper Jams
Important: Always disconnect the shredder from the power supply before attempting to manually remove jammed paper. Never use objects to clear jams.
- Slide the switch to 'REV' to back the paper out. If still jammed, slide to 'FWD'.
- If the jam persists:
- Set the on/off switch to 'O'.
- Slide the slide switch to 'OFF'.
- Disconnect the shredder from the power supply.
- Manually remove stuck paper by pulling it out.
Overheat Protection
If the shredder runs continuously for 5 minutes, the motor may overheat, triggering overheat protection. The power will be cut off to allow the shredder to cool down.
- Set the on/off switch to 'O' and let the unit cool for approximately 60 minutes before attempting to use it again.

Maintenance, Care, and Cleaning
Caution! The blades are sharp. Risk of injury.
- Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol, or other chemical solutions, as they may damage the enclosure or cause malfunction.
- Before cleaning, switch off the product and disconnect the mains plug.
- Do not immerse the product in water.
- This product contains no user-serviceable components. Never attempt to open or disassemble it.
- Empty the trash can regularly.
- Use a dry, soft, and clean cloth for cleaning. Do not press too hard on the housing to avoid scratches.
Disposal
Electrical and electronic equipment marked with this symbol should not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste. Owners of WEEE (Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment) must dispose of it separately. End users must remove batteries, accumulators, and lamps before handing over WEEE to a collection point.
