Signals and Buttons Instruction
1. LED Indicator: Multi-color light indicating status:
- Ready to record: Stable red light
- Recording to external storage: Stable red light
- Warning message: Flash in red
- Power off: Light off
- No HDMI input signal
- No USB Storage inserted
- Incorrect System Format for USB Storage (Click MODE button to fix)
- Incorrect Encoder Format for USB Storage (Click MODE button to fix)
- USB Storage capacity is full
- Existing hidden partition in USB Storage
2. Record Button (▶️): Click to record HDMI IN source to storage up to 1080p@60Hz.
3. Status Signals (?):
- HDMI: Indicates if an HDMI signal is detected.
- Power: Indicates Power ON/OFF status.
- Mode: Stable light ON/OFF for Auto HD Mode. Flash 2 times for MIC mix mode ON. Flash 4 times for MIC mix mode OFF.
4. MODE Button (⚙️): Click to turn on Compatible Mode to ensure recording format compatibility with USB storage and PC (UVC/PC) recording.
- Compatible mode settings: 1080P@60Hz, H.264, MP4 format.
- Do not switch the mode while recording.
Ports Introduction
- 1. POWER (?):
- USB-C® port. Power up using a USB-C® adapter with a 5V/2A power supply.
- 2. HDMI OUT (?):
- Connect an HDMI cable to a monitor for pass-thru of the HDMI IN signal with up to 4K@60Hz resolution. Note: Signals from the Storage/Phone port do not support pass-thru to the HDMI output.
- 3. HDMI IN (?):
- Connect an HDMI cable to any device with an HDMI output. Note: Contents transferred by a hub/adapter may not be transmitted.
- 4. UVC/PC (?️):
- Connect a USB-C® to USB-A cable to a computer to stream or record video/audio from the input source. Supports third-party software like OBS, Potplayer, Xsplit, Skype, Zoom on Windows and OBS, Skype, Zoom, FaceTime, QuickTime Player on macOS. Note: H.264 format is not supported for some Instant Message Applications like FaceTime.
- 5. Storage/Phone (?):

- Storage: Connect an external USB-A disk (exFAT/FAT32 format supported) to record streaming video directly by pressing the Record button. Supports simultaneous recording to standalone USB storage and to UVC/PC, but only in H.264 format.
- Phone: Connect a USB data cable to an Android/iOS phone to stream contents to UVC/PC. For Android users, download the MiraPlug App before using. For iOS users, click "Trust the computer" to begin streaming/recording.
- 6. MIC/Reset (?):
- Connect a 3.5mm audio cable to a microphone to mix its audio with the HDMI input. Use a pin to insert into the MIC/Reset jack for 10 seconds to reset to factory default.
- 7. EAR (?):
- Connect a 3.5mm earphone to listen to the mixed audio.
Hardware Installation and Connection
Capture to PC
Connect an HDMI source to the HDMI IN port. Connect the HDMI OUT port to a monitor for 4K@60Hz pass-thru. Connect the USB-C port to a computer using a USB-C to USB-A cable for UVC streaming or recording at 1080p@60Hz. Power the device with a 5V/2A adapter.
Capture to Standalone USB Disk
Connect an HDMI source to the HDMI IN port. Connect the HDMI OUT port to a monitor for 4K@60Hz pass-thru. Connect a USB disk (exFAT/FAT32 format) to the Storage/Phone port for direct recording at 1080p@60Hz. Press the Record button to start. Power the device with a 5V/2A adapter. The LED indicator will show "Ready to record" (multi-color) or "Recording" (stable red).
Capture to PC and Standalone USB Disk Simultaneously
Connect an HDMI source to the HDMI IN port. Connect the HDMI OUT port to a monitor for 4K@60Hz pass-thru. Connect the USB-C port to a computer for UVC streaming/recording at 1080p@60Hz. Simultaneously, connect a USB disk to the Storage/Phone port for direct recording at 1080p@60Hz. This simultaneous recording is supported only in H.264 format. Power the device with a 5V/2A adapter.
Capture in Compatible Mode
Connect an HDMI source to the HDMI IN port. Connect the USB-C port to a computer for UVC streaming/recording at 1080p@60Hz. Click the MODE button (⚙️) to enable Compatible Mode, indicated by the MODE light. This mode ensures recording in 1080P@60Hz, H.264, MP4 format, compatible with both PC and USB disk recording. Do not switch mode during recording. Power the device with a 5V/2A adapter.
Capture from Camera/Gaming Station
Connect a camera or gaming station (using HDMI, mini-HDMI, or micro-HDMI with an adapter) to the HDMI IN port. Connect the HDMI OUT port to a monitor for 4K@60Hz pass-thru. Connect the USB-C port to a computer for UVC streaming/recording at 1080p@60Hz. Power the device with a 5V/2A adapter.
Capture from Laptop/PC
Connect a laptop or PC's HDMI output to the HDMI IN port. Connect the HDMI OUT port to a monitor for 4K@60Hz pass-thru. Connect the USB-C port to a computer for UVC streaming/recording at 1080p@60Hz. Optionally, connect a USB disk to the Storage/Phone port for direct recording. Power the device with a 5V/2A adapter.
Capture from Phone
Connect an Android or iOS phone via USB data cable to the Storage/Phone port. For Android, download the MiraPlug App. For iOS, confirm "Trust the computer" on the device. Note: Capture from phone does not support pass-thru via the HDMI OUT port. Power the device with a 5V/2A adapter.
Mix Audio from MIC
Connect a microphone to the MIC/Reset 3.5mm jack. Connect an HDMI source to the HDMI IN port. Connect the USB-C port to a computer for UVC streaming/recording. The audio from the microphone will be mixed with the HDMI input audio. The EAR port can be used to monitor the mixed audio. Power the device with a 5V/2A adapter.
Settings on Android/iOS Mobile
MiraPlug App Settings
1. Download MiraPlug App: Download the MiraPlug App on your mobile device (Android/iOS supported). 2. Connect Mobile: Power the product with a 5V/2A adapter. Connect the product to the mobile device with a USB data cable. 3. Using MiraPlug App for Updates and Settings: Connect the mobile device to the Internet and launch the MiraPlug App. The system will correct the time automatically and check the current version status. If a newer version is available, perform an update. To change product settings, click the setting icon (⚙️) in the upper right corner to enter the settings page.
Setting Options:
- Standalone Record Format: Set the resolution and frame rate for saving to a standalone USB disk.
- exFAT Loop Recording Size: Set the size of each file captured to the standalone USB disk when recording in loop. Warning: Abnormal interruptions may result in file loss or damage.
- MIC Volume Level: Set the volume of the microphone input on the product.
Troubleshooting Note: If you encounter a black screen while recording with a PC or laptop equipped with an Nvidia graphics card or macOS, turn off the settings to input video and sound to the product.
