Key Measurements and Formulas

The following measurements are critical for proper installation:

d_f: Diameter of the hole, specified as 12 mm.
h_nom: Nominal embedment depth.
h₁: Total drilled depth.
h_Δ: Additional depth for dust removal.
h_min: Minimum required embedment depth.
c_min: Minimum edge distance.
s_min: Minimum spacing between anchors.

The total drilled depth (h₁) is calculated as: h₁ = h_Δ + h_nom.

Installation Procedure

Step 2a: Drilling the Hole

Drilling a hole with a diameter (d₀) of 10 mm at a 90° angle.

Ensure the minimum embedment depth requirement is met: h_min - h₁ ≥ 27 mm.

Step 2b: Repeat Drilling

Repeat the drilling process as indicated (shown 3x), ensuring the h_min - h₁ ≥ 27 mm condition is maintained.

Step 2c: Using Power Tools

Utilize approved Hilti hammer drills such as DD EC-1, DD 30-W, or DD 150-U.

Operate with a pressure of 6 bar / 90 psi.

Maintain the minimum embedment depth: h_min - h₁ ≥ 27 mm.

Fastener Insertion and Securing

Step 3a & 3b: Inserting Fasteners

Insert the Hilti HST2-F fastener into the prepared hole. The HS-SC fastener is also depicted.

Step 4: Securing the Fastener

Tighten the fastener to a torque of T_inst = 40 Nm.

Visual check indicating proper seating of the fastener.

Step 5: Final Dimensions and Tools

The required dimension for this step is 17 mm.

Step 5b: Specific Fastener Modules

This step illustrates the use of SIW 4AT-22 + SI-AT-22 (AT Module) and SI-S 1/2"-17 L.

A dimension of 17 mm is indicated.
