What's In The Box

A PROAIM Heavy Duty Aluminum Spreader, a triangular device with three extendable arms, each ending in a clamp designed to secure tripod legs.

Aluminum Tripod Spreader Setup

Follow these steps to set up and attach the spreader to your tripod:

  1. Place the spreader flat on the floor. Adjust the spreader arms to the required width using the provided knob.
  2. The spreader is now fully and properly opened. The build-up radius of the spreader is 41-66 cm / 16-26 inches.
  3. Carefully place the spiked end of the tripod leg into the designated slot on the spreader.
  4. Ensure the rubber gripper is properly aligned with the tripod leg; it should sit evenly around the spike leg housing.
  5. If it doesn't fit snugly, adjust the gripper's position.
  6. Using a screwdriver (not included), loosen the screws on both sides of the rubber gripper to allow adjustment.
  7. Adjust and re-position the rubber gripper so it fits snugly around the twin spiked feet of the tripod leg.
  8. Tighten both the screws using a screwdriver.
  9. Firmly mount the rubber gripper onto the tripod leg, wrapping the spike feet completely.
  10. The tripod and spreader are now securely attached.
