Gimbal Tripod Head Setup
An illustration of the PROAIM Universal Camera Gimbal Tripod Head, a complex, multi-jointed device designed for smooth camera movements. Also shown are two mounting screws of different sizes.
Step 1: Mount on Tripod
Mount and secure the gimbal head on the tripod.
NOTE: The gimbal head mounts directly to tripods with a 3/8"-16 threaded mount. A conversion adapter for 1/4"-20 mounting is provided, making it universally compatible with tripods.
Visuals demonstrating the attachment of the gimbal head to a tripod mount, highlighting the 3/8"-16 thread and the use of a 1/4"-20 adapter.
Step 2: Secure the Head
After mounting the gimbal head, secure it correctly with the locking knob.
NOTE: The head pans 360° while keeping the horizon straight using the bubble level at the base. A 360° panoramic scale allows for easy pan adjustments.

Step 3: Adjust Swing Arm
Loosen the locking knob of the gimbal head, then set the swing arm according to the shot's requirement and tighten the knob back.
NOTE: The swing arm tilts horizontally, allowing for extreme tilt angles to achieve multi-dimensional shots.

Step 4: Adjust Camera Plate Clamp
Slide the camera plate clamp up and down by loosening the locking knob. Set the camera position according to your requirement and tighten the knob back.
NOTE: The clamp is Arca Swiss compatible and moves on a scaled slide way, secured with a control knob.

Step 5: Adjust Dovetail Plate
By loosening the adjustment knob, the dovetail plate can move backward/forward.
NOTE: The Gimbal Head features a double dovetail plate with 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 mounting screws, secured by the platform adjustment knob.

Step 6: Balance Camera
Before use, ensure the head is vertically and horizontally balanced. The camera must be adjustable at any angle while remaining in position. The adjustment knob allows you to set the camera position as needed.
NOTE: The head easily supports and balances huge and heavy telephoto lenses weighing up to 22.7kg.
