Important Information
Battery
If the display becomes dim or the backlight does not function, the battery needs replacement. Contact a CASIO dealer or distributor. The battery included with your watch is for initial testing purposes and may have a shorter lifespan than a standard battery.
Water Resistance
Watches are classified by water resistance levels (I to V). Refer to the table below to determine usage rules.
Marking on Case | Splash, Rain, Washing | Swimming, Snorkeling | Scuba Diving |
---|---|---|---|
I | No | No | No |
II | Yes | No | No |
III (50M WATER RESISTANT) | Yes | Yes | No |
IV (100M WATER RESISTANT) | Yes | Yes | Yes |
V (200M WATER RESISTANT / 300M WATER RESISTANT) | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Notes for respective sections:
- Level I: The watch is not water-resistant. Avoid any contact with moisture.
- Level III: If exposed to salt water, rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Level IV: If exposed to salt water, rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Level V: Can be used for scuba diving (except for depths requiring helium-oxygen mixtures).
ATTENTION!!! For all watch categories, do not:
- Press buttons underwater.
- Change time settings underwater.
- Unscrew the crown underwater.
Care of Your Watch
- Replace the rubber gasket protecting the watch from water and dust every 2-3 years.
- If moisture enters the watch, have it checked immediately by a CASIO dealer or distributor.
- Do not expose the watch to extremely high or low temperatures.
- While designed for normal use, avoid rough handling and dropping the watch.
- Do not fasten the strap too tightly; a finger should fit between your wrist and the strap.
- Clean the watch and strap with a dry, soft cloth or a soft cloth dampened with a mild neutral detergent solution. Never use volatile substances like gasoline, thinners, spray cleaners, etc.
- When not in use, store the watch in a dry place.
- Avoid contact with gasoline, cleaning solvents, spray aerosols, adhesives, paint, etc. Chemical reactions with these materials can damage gaskets, the case, and the watch's finish.
- Some models have silk-screened designs on their straps. Be careful when cleaning these straps to avoid damaging the designs.
For Watches with Polymer Straps
You may notice a whitish powder on the strap. This is harmless and can be removed by wiping with a soft cloth.
Exposure of the polymer strap to sweat or moisture, or storage in high humidity conditions, can lead to damage, tearing, or cracking. To ensure a long service life, wipe the strap frequently with a soft cloth to remove dirt and moisture.
For Watches with Fluorescent Cases and Straps
Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the fluorescent color to gradually fade. Prolonged contact with moisture can also cause the fluorescent color to fade. If any moisture gets on the watch surface, wipe it off as soon as possible. Prolonged contact with a damp surface can cause discoloration of the fluorescent coating. Ensure the fluorescent surface is dry and avoid contact with other surfaces. Strong friction of the fluorescent paint surface against another surface may transfer the fluorescent paint to that surface.

Other
Calibration Signal
The watch receives calibration signals and updates its time accordingly. Signal transmission centers are located in Germany (approx. 25km from Frankfurt) and Rugby, England. The signal range is about 1500km. Signal strength may be weak beyond 500km. Signal reception is affected by natural conditions, atmospheric pressure, and temperature. Factors that can weaken the signal include:
- Being near TVs, computers, or household appliances.
- Being in a subway or tunnel.
- Being at an airport, train station, or on a highway.
- Being near radio transmitters or signal transmission stations.
- Electrostatic interference.
There are two types of calibration signal reception: Auto-Calibration and Manual Calibration.
Auto-Calibration Signal: When enabled, the watch automatically receives the signal six times daily (during the night and early morning) and corrects the time. Auto-calibration only occurs when the watch is in Current Time Mode. Reception lasts 2 to 6 minutes. Do not move the watch during reception.
You can return to Current Time Mode by pressing button [D]. If reception fails, "ERR" will appear for 1-2 minutes before the watch returns to Current Time Mode.
Enabling/Disabling Auto-Calibration Signal
- In Current Time Mode, press button [D] to display the time of the last signal reception.
- Press and hold button [A] until the transmission indicator appears, starting the setting mode.
- Use button [D] to toggle between "ON" and "OFF" for auto-calibration reception.
- Press button [A] to confirm settings.
Signal Reception Indicator
This indicator shows the strength of the reception signal. When the watch is positioned for optimal reception, the indicator will be fully displayed. Try to position the watch for good reception whenever possible. It takes about 10 seconds for the watch to stabilize the reception strength shown on the indicator. If the calibration indicator is not present, reception is not occurring. Perform manual calibration or check watch settings.
