Casio WVA-300/310 Watch User Manual
Module 2367, 2739
Important Information
Battery
The battery is installed at the factory and should be replaced immediately when signs of insufficient power appear (e.g., backlight not turning on, dim display) by an authorized CASIO dealer or distributor.
Water Resistance
Watches are classified by water resistance levels (from I to V). Consult the table below for correct operation.
Level | Marking on Case | Splashes, Rain | Washing Hands & Car | Swimming, Snorkeling | Scuba Diving (with air) |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
I | WATER RESISTANT | Yes | No | No | No |
II | 50M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | No | No |
III | 100M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | No |
IV | 200M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
V | 300M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Notes for relevant sections:
- Level I: Not water-resistant. Avoid all moisture.
- Level II: Do not pull out the crown if the watch is wet.
- Level III: Do not press watch buttons underwater.
- Level IV: If the watch is exposed to saltwater, rinse it thoroughly and dry it.
- Level V: The watch can be used for scuba diving (except for depths requiring a helium-oxygen mixture).
Note on Leather Straps: Some water-resistant watches have leather straps. Do not wear these watches while swimming or engaging in any activity where the strap may be submerged in water.
Care of Your Watch
- Never attempt to open the case or remove the back cover.
- The rubber gasket that protects the watch from water and dust should be replaced every 2-3 years.
- If moisture enters the watch, have it checked immediately by an authorized CASIO dealer or distributor.
- Do not expose the watch to extreme temperatures.
- While the watch is designed for normal use, avoid rough handling and dropping it.
- Do not fasten the strap too tightly. There should be space for a finger between your wrist and the strap.
- To clean the watch and strap, use a dry soft cloth or a soft cloth dampened with a mild neutral detergent solution. Never use volatile substances (e.g., gasoline, solvents, spray cleaners).
- When not in use, store the watch in a dry place.
- Avoid exposing the watch to gasoline, cleaning solvents, aerosol sprays, adhesives, paint, etc. Chemical reactions with these materials can damage gaskets, the case, and the watch's finish.
- Some models feature silk-screened graphics on the strap. Be careful when cleaning these straps to avoid damaging the designs.
For Watches with Plastic Straps:
- You may notice a white powdery substance on the strap. This substance is harmless to your skin or clothing and can be easily removed by wiping with a cloth.
- Sweat or moisture on a plastic strap, or storage in high humidity, can lead to damage, tearing, or cracking. To ensure a long service life for the plastic strap, wipe it clean of dirt and water with a soft cloth whenever possible.
For Watches with Fluorescent Cases and Straps:
- Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the fluorescent color to gradually fade.
- Prolonged contact with moisture can cause the fluorescent color to gradually fade. If any moisture gets on the watch surface, wipe it off as soon as possible.
- Prolonged contact with any other wet surface can cause discoloration of the fluorescent color. Ensure the fluorescent surface is free of moisture and avoid contact with other surfaces.
- Rubbing a surface with fluorescent paint against another surface can transfer the fluorescent paint to that surface.

The day of the week is set automatically according to the date. The date can be set from January 1, 2000, to December 31, 2039.
Auto-Calibration
This watch can receive a calibration signal to automatically update its time.
The watch automatically receives the signal twice daily. Calibration occurs at 2:00 AM and 4:00 AM. Do not perform any settings during these times to avoid interfering with the process.
To enable auto-calibration:
1. In Current Time Mode, press button 'A' ⚙️ until the auto-calibration setting appears.
2. Press button 'D' ⚙️ to enable or disable auto-calibration.
3. Press button 'A' ⚙️ when finished.
If auto-calibration is disabled, you can manually receive the signal:

2. In Current Time Mode, press and hold button 'D' ⚙️ for approximately 2 seconds until an audible signal and the time display indicate reception.
3. The signal reception will take 4 to 11 minutes. Do not move the watch during this period.

To stop the calibration process, press button 'D' ⚙️.
If the display shows 'ERR', the calibration failed. The watch will automatically return to Current Time Mode.
A calibration indicator on the display shows the possibility of successful calibration. A fully filled indicator means calibration should proceed without issues.
Pressing button 'D' ⚙️ allows switching between the last auto-calibration date/time and the Current Time Mode.
Analog Time Mode
The analog time (on the dial) automatically synchronizes with the digital time displayed. If the times do not match for any reason, adjust the analog time:

Holding down buttons allows for faster hand movement.
4. After completing the adjustment, press button 'A' ⚙️.
Backlight
Press button 'B' ⚙️ in any mode to illuminate the display for two seconds.
- The backlight uses electro-luminescent (EL) elements, whose power decreases over time.
- A faint audible sound may be heard when the backlight is on; this is normal due to the vibrating EL elements.
- The backlight may be difficult to see in direct sunlight.
- Frequent use of the backlight shortens battery life.
- The backlight automatically turns off when an audible signal sounds.
Day Counter Mode
In Day Counter Mode, you can set up to 5 different countdown timers.
Upon entering this mode, the display shows the date from which the countdown begins. Pressing button 'A' ⚙️ allows you to view the number of days.

Power Source
- This watch is equipped with a solar rechargeable battery and a replaceable battery, which stores energy from light. The solar battery does not require replacement, but its functions may weaken after prolonged use and it may need to be replaced.
- Avoid prolonged periods in dark environments and wear the watch so that sunlight directly hits the watch face.
- If you do not use the watch for an extended period, switch it to sleep mode to conserve battery power.
Signal Indicator (Battery Charge)
- If two segments are filled in the lower part of the display, the battery is fully charged and all functions are operating normally.
- If one segment is filled on the left side of the lower display, the battery charge is too low for normal function.
- If a segment is filled on the right side of the lower display, you have been using the backlight and sound signal functions too frequently, which may be depleting the battery charge.
