Installation Steps
The following steps detail the installation process, referencing components shown in Figure 1 (Ground wire, Driver, Mounting plate, Canopy, Junction Box, Power input wire, Wire Connectors A1/D1, Junction Box Screws B1, Mounting Screws C1, Output Wire) and wiring connections in Figure 2.
Step 1: Prepare Fixture
Remove mounting plate screw (C1) from the fixture and remove wire connectors (D1).
Step 2: Connect Wires (Refer to Figure 2)
Connect the driver input wires to the supply wires using wire connectors (A1). Ensure all wire connectors (A1) are securely fastened. If your outlet box has a green or bare copper ground wire, connect the fixture's ground wire to it. Otherwise, connect the fixture's ground wire directly to the mounting plate using the provided green screw. After connecting wires, carefully tuck them inside the junction box. Note: The driver must be recessed within the junction box.
Wire Connection Details (Figure 2):
- Fixture Wires (Black or Smooth) connect to House Wires (Black - Hot)
- Fixture Wires (White or Ribbed) connect to House Wires (White - Neutral)
- Fixture Wires (Bare wire - Ground) connect to House Wires (Green or Bare Copper - Ground)
Step 3: Mount Fixture Plate
Secure the mounting plate to the junction box using the junction box screws (B1). Ensure the side of the mounting plate marked "GND" faces outward.
Step 4: Connect Output Wires
Connect the driver output wires to the fixture wires and secure with wire connectors (D1).
Step 5: Attach Canopy
Place the mounting canopy over the mounting plate and secure it using the mounting plate screws (C1).
