PLATSA Assembly Instructions
Important Safety Information
WARNING!
Serious or fatal crushing injuries can occur from furniture tip over. To prevent tip over, this furniture must be used with the wall attachment device(s) provided.
Screw(s) and plug(s) for the wall are not included. Use screw(s) and plug(s) suitable for your walls. If you are uncertain, seek professional advice. Read and follow each step of the instruction carefully.

Note: Wall mounting screws and plugs are not included and must be purchased separately, suitable for your wall type.
Assembly Instructions
Step 1: Connect Side Panels
Align and connect the two side panels. The diagram shows a connector being inserted into one panel and then the other panel being attached. A close-up shows a hand engaging a locking mechanism to secure the connection.
Step 2: Attach Front Panel
Attach the front panel to the assembled side panels. The diagram shows the front panel being slotted into place between the side panels.
Step 3: Secure Front Panel
Engage the locking mechanism on the side panels to secure the front panel. A close-up shows a hand pressing a locking element.
Step 4: Insert Back Panel
Slide the back panel into the grooves provided on the side and front panels. A close-up shows a hand pushing the panel down into place.
Step 5: Attach Base
Attach the base panel to the bottom of the assembled frame. This step uses 8 screws (part 151706) and 8 dowel pins (part 151705).
Step 6: Attach Foot Assembly Brackets
Attach the two foot assembly brackets (part 150688) to the underside of the base panel. The diagram shows these brackets being inserted and secured.
Step 7: Attach Feet
Screw the two feet (part 150689) into the attached foot assembly brackets.
Step 8: Secure Top Panel
Place the top panel onto the assembled unit. A close-up shows a locking mechanism being engaged from the inside of the unit to secure the top panel.
Step 9: Install Shelf Supports
Insert the adjustable shelf supports into the desired pre-drilled holes on the inside of the unit. Arrows indicate vertical adjustment options.
Step 10: Attach Rear Covers
Attach the rear covers. The diagram shows two types of circular covers/discs (part 126916) and round caps/covers (part 10005905) being pressed into place on the rear of the unit, with an audible 'Click!' indicating secure attachment.
Step 14: Join Two Units (Optional)
To join two PLATSA units side-by-side, align them. Attach the wall attachment brackets (part 10090922) to the sides of the units using small fasteners (part 146113). The diagram shows the bracket being inserted and secured with screws.
Step 15: Stack Units (Optional)
To create a taller configuration, one PLATSA unit can be stacked on top of another. The maximum stacking height is 300 cm (118 7/64"). The connection is secured using dowels (part 152059) and long screws (part 108736).
Crucial Wall Mounting Reminder
IMPORTANT: To prevent serious or fatal injuries from furniture tip-over, this PLATSA unit MUST be secured to the wall using appropriate wall attachment devices. The diagram shows a unit being secured to a wall with a bracket. Ensure you use screws and plugs suitable for your wall type. Seek professional advice if unsure.
