About This Kit
This document provides detailed instructions for installing the Lightailing LGK607 LED lighting kit into your 1961 Chevrolet Corvette model. This kit is designed to enhance the realism and visual appeal of your model by adding functional illumination.
Please read all instructions carefully before beginning assembly. Ensure you have all necessary tools and components.
Safety First ⚠️
Handle small electronic components with care. Avoid exposing the kit to moisture or extreme temperatures. Adult supervision is recommended for younger builders.
- Keep small parts away from children.
- Use appropriate tools for delicate work.
- Ensure power is disconnected when making connections.
Kit Components ?
Verify that all parts listed below are present in your kit:
- LEDs: Headlight LEDs (2), Taillight LEDs (2), Interior LEDs (e.g., dashboard, dome light)
- Control Board (1)
- Connecting Wires (various lengths)
- Power Connector (e.g., Battery Holder for AA/AAA batteries, or USB cable)
- Adhesive Strips or Mounting Putty
- Wire Clips (optional)
Note: Batteries are typically not included.
Assembly Steps
Step 1: Prepare the Model Car
Carefully unpack your 1961 Chevrolet Corvette model. If necessary, gently separate body panels or components where LEDs and wires will be installed. Clean any dust or debris from the areas where components will be placed.

Step 2: Install Headlight LEDs ?
Locate the headlight housings on the model. Insert the two small headlight LEDs into their respective positions. Ensure the LEDs are oriented correctly (positive and negative terminals). A small amount of adhesive may be used to secure them.

Step 3: Install Taillight LEDs ?
Repeat the process for the taillights. Insert the two taillight LEDs into the rear light assemblies. Pay attention to the correct orientation.

Step 4: Install Interior Lights ?
Install any interior LEDs, such as for the dashboard or cabin. These may require careful placement within the model's interior structure.

Step 5: Route and Connect Wires 〰️
Carefully route the wires from each LED towards the designated location for the control board. Use the provided wire clips or a small amount of adhesive to secure wires neatly along the chassis or interior, ensuring they do not interfere with moving parts or assembly.
Connect the wires from the headlights, taillights, and interior LEDs to the corresponding ports on the control board. Refer to the port labels on the control board (e.g., 'HL' for headlights, 'TL' for taillights).

Step 6: Mount the Control Board
Find a suitable, unobtrusive location within the model to mount the control board. Use the provided adhesive or mounting putty to secure it firmly.

Step 7: Connect Power ?
Connect the power cable (battery holder or USB cable) to the power input port on the control board.

Step 8: Test the Lights ✔️
Insert batteries into the battery holder or connect the USB cable to a power source. All installed LEDs should now illuminate. Check that each light functions correctly.
If any lights do not work, double-check all connections and LED orientations.

Step 9: Final Assembly
Once testing is complete and all lights are functioning correctly, carefully reassemble any parts of the model car that were removed. Ensure all wires are tucked away neatly.
Testing and Troubleshooting
Testing: After assembly, connect the power source. All lights should turn on. If your kit includes multiple functions (e.g., flashing lights), refer to specific instructions for activating them.
Troubleshooting:
- No lights: Check battery orientation, ensure batteries are fresh, verify power connection to the control board, and confirm all LED wires are securely plugged into the correct ports.
- Some lights not working: Check the specific LED connection to the control board and the LED's orientation. A single faulty LED or connection can affect a series.
- Flickering lights: Ensure wire connections are secure and not loose.
