6. Add a Camera to the App
6.1 Preparations for Connection
- Insert a Micro SD card into the camera to record video clips, or you can start the 7-day free cloud service. Without a Micro SD card or cloud service, no video will be saved.
- The camera only works with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi; it does not support 5GHz. If your router is dual-band, ensure it is set to the 2.4GHz mode to guarantee camera operation.
- For successful pairing, ensure the phone and camera are connected to the same network.
- When connecting to the network, please place the camera near the router (recommended within 10-15 feet).
Method 1: Bluetooth Configuration (RECOMMENDED)
- On the home page, tap "Add" or "+" in the upper right corner, then tap "Add Device".
- If your mobile phone's Bluetooth is not enabled, the app will display a pop-up window; please allow it to activate Bluetooth.
- Once Bluetooth is activated, the app will automatically search for devices that are powered on and not yet paired. Select the device you wish to connect from the search list.
- Select the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi you want the camera to connect to and enter the password. With Bluetooth enabled, the app automatically displays the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi that can be connected. 5GHz Wi-Fi will not be displayed. Normally, the name and password for your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and your 5GHz Wi-Fi are identical or similar. If you cannot find your Wi-Fi, please contact your router provider to check your router's 2.4GHz Wi-Fi settings.
- The app automatically proceeds to the Wi-Fi connection page. A sound will be heard. Wait for the connection to be successful and the camera's indicator light to turn solid blue. Click 'Next' to rename the camera and choose a family. Click "Done" to complete the configuration.
- In case of connection failure, check the reason and resolution displayed in the app. Long press the reset button until you hear a 'Boogu' sound to reset the camera and start over, or try the other methods below.
Method 2: QR Code Configuration
Follow these steps to configure your camera using a QR code:
- Click "Add Device".
- Select the camera model.
- Power on the camera. Press the power button to wake the device. If it's asleep, press the [battery camera] button. Stay near your router for the best signal.
- Wi-Fi Setup: Select a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and enter your password.
- Operation Instructions: Remove any film from the lens. Tap Next to display a QR code. Let your device scan the code, keeping your phone 5-8 inches from the lens. A tone will be heard upon successful scanning.
- Connect Network: Ensure the device is powered on, connected to the router, and the phone and device are on the same network.
- Add Device: Choose a family for the camera.
- Installation Guide: Use a 5V1A or 5V2A power adapter to fully charge the camera before use. (The camera only supports 5V power adapter charging).
- Network Diagnostic: Check the current place for signal strength. If "Current Place is good, you can install the camera" is displayed, proceed.
- Use the Camera.
7. How to Reset the Camera
- Go to the device's home page, select the camera to be reset, and continue to press it to delete it from the app.
- Press the camera's reset button for 5 to 10 seconds until you hear the 'Boogu' sound.
- Reconnect as a new camera.
8. Camera Installation
- Fix the bracket to the desired location using the provided screws.

- Adjust the camera's viewing angle.
NOTE: The camera lens allows for 355° horizontal and 120° vertical rotation. You can adjust the camera's orientation and achieve the best surveillance angle by clicking PTZ in the app and holding the up, down, left, and right buttons.
The lens allows for 355° horizontal and 120° vertical rotation.
9. Important Notes
⚠️ To reduce false alarms, please note:
- Do not install the camera facing a strong light source, mirror, window, or pool.
- Do not install the camera in high-traffic areas. The recommended distance between the camera and moving objects is 32 feet.
- Keep the camera away from power outlets, including air conditioner vents, humidifier vents, projector heat transfer vents, etc.
- Keep the camera at least 1 meter away from any wireless device to avoid interference, such as microwave ovens, Wi-Fi routers, etc.
10. Surveillance Zone
- It is not recommended to install the camera vertically towards moving objects, as it may miss or delay detection.
- It is advised to ensure the angle between the PIR sensor and detected objects is greater than 10 degrees.
- The camera's motion sensor is much more sensitive to lateral movements within its field of view than to movement directly towards or away from the camera.
Suggestion: The best lens tilt angle is 15° for optimal alarm detection range.
Recommended installation height: 8-10 feet above the ground. At this height, the sensor will provide a detection distance of up to 40 feet.

---|---|
1-3 | 3.3-10ft (1-3m) |
4-7 | 13-23ft (4-7m) |
8-10 | 26-33ft (8-10m) |
13.2 Alarm Notification
This camera does not support 24/7 continuous recording; it is an event-based recording camera. It only triggers when body movement is detected.
System reactions include:
- Alarm notifications with sounds from the app.
- Photos/videos are automatically stored on the Micro SD card or in the Cloud.
13.3 Recording/Playback/Deletion
- On the "MESSAGES" page, click "Alarm Messages" to view all listed recordings.
- Click the buttons below to play or delete.
- All screenshots or manually recorded videos from the live/history/cloud page will be saved in Images and Videos. Files can be saved to your phone's album or shared directly with others.
14. Power Saving Settings
14.1 Alarm Interval
This function helps avoid repeated alarms for the same event. You can choose an alarm interval of different lengths. If the interval is 5 minutes, and the camera triggers at 8 AM, you will receive an alarm message, but no new alarm will be sent within the following 5 minutes, even if motion detection continues.
NOTE: This function is disabled by default; you can adjust it according to your needs.
14.2 Recording Duration
You can choose a different recording duration, such as 20 seconds. After the camera is triggered, you can view the 20 seconds of alarm video in the cloud playback history.
14.3 Alarm Schedule
You can set a weekly/daily alarm schedule based on your needs. If you set the camera's working hours from 0:00 to 1:00, the camera will only trigger and record alarm video during this period.
NOTE: The alarm schedule can be set for a maximum of 4 periods.
15. Battery Management
- The camera is equipped with a large-capacity built-in battery, which can be used for 2 to 3 months, assuming the device wakes up 15 times per day and plays video for 10 minutes each day.
NOTE: Battery life depends on the device's activation frequency. The more it is activated, the faster the battery drains. It is recommended to reduce the sensitivity of 'Motion Detection' or disable it from time to time.
- When the power is below 20%, the app will send you reminders so you can recharge in time.
- Charge the camera with a DC 5V 2A charger until it is fully charged, which generally takes 6 to 8 hours.
16. Multi-Device Management
16.1 Managing Multiple Cameras
You can view up to 4 cameras live simultaneously.
16.2 Multi-User Sharing
NOTE: An app account (A) cannot be connected to multiple devices simultaneously. A camera also cannot be connected to multiple app accounts. However, the camera can be shared from A to B.
