The app interface shows settings for Wireless Data access and Notification permissions.
5. Account Registration
New users need to sign up for a ZUMIMALL account using an email address. Click 'Sign up' and follow the on-screen steps in the app to complete registration.
The process includes a Welcome screen, a Sign Up screen for email and password, and a confirmation screen.
6. Add Camera to App
6.1 Preparations for connection
- Insert a Micro SD Card into the camera to save video clips, or utilize the 7-day free cloud service. No video will be saved without either option.
- The camera supports only 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks; 5GHz is not supported.
- When connecting to the network, place the camera close to the router (recommended within 10-15ft) for a stable connection.
6.2 Connect Camera to App
Follow these steps within the ZUMIMALL app:
- Tap 'Add Device'.
- Select 'Battery Camera'.
- Turn on the camera by holding the power button. If the camera is asleep, press the button to wake it.
- Reset the camera if prompted (hold the RESET button for 4-5 seconds until a red indicator light flashes).
- Enter your Wi-Fi network name and password (ensure it's a 2.4GHz network).
- Prepare for scanning: Remove protective film from the lens. Keep your phone 5-8 inches from the camera lens to scan the QR code displayed on the app. A tone will confirm successful scanning.
- The app will then connect to the network, perform a network diagnosis, and provide installation tips.
7. Camera Installation
- Fix the mounting bracket to your desired location using the supplied screws.
- Fasten the camera onto the metal mount and secure it.
- Adjust the viewing angle of the camera. The camera supports 355° horizontal and 120° vertical rotation. You can fine-tune the orientation using the PTZ controls in the app.
8. Important Notes
To reduce false alarms, please observe the following:
- Do not install the camera facing strong lights, mirrors, windows, or swimming pools.
- Avoid placing the camera too close to busy traffic areas. Maintain a recommended distance of within 32ft between the camera and motion objects.
- Keep the camera away from outlets, air conditioner vents, humidifier outlets, and heat transfer vents of projectors.
- Ensure the camera is at least 1 meter away from any wireless devices like microwave ovens or Wi-Fi routers to prevent interference.
9. Monitoring Area
- It is not recommended to install the camera vertically towards moving objects, as this may lead to missed motion events or delays.
- It is suggested to angle the PIR sensor so that the angle between it and detected objects is more than 10 degrees.
- The camera's motion sensor is more sensitive to side-to-side movement across its field of view than to movement directly towards or away from the camera.
Suggestions: The best downward tilt angle of the lens is 15° for optimal alarm detection range. The recommended installation height is 8-10 feet above the ground, which provides a detection distance up to 40 feet.

- Long press the intercom button to speak; the sound will be emitted from the camera.
- Release the intercom button to listen; the sound will be emitted from your mobile phone.
12. PIR Motion Detection
12.1 Motion Detection Alarm Setting
Motion detection sensitivity can be adjusted from 1 to 10. Higher sensitivity means easier triggering of motion detection and alarms.
Sensitivity vs. Detecting Distance:
- LOW (1-3): 13-16ft (4-5 meters)
- MID (4-7): 16-23ft (5-8 meters)
- HIGH (8-10): 23-42ft (8-13 meters)
NOTE: Higher sensitivity increases detection distance but may drain the battery faster.
12.2 Alarm Notification
This camera is an event recording camera, triggered only by body motion. System reactions include alarm notifications with sounds from the app and automatic storage of pictures/videos in Micro SD Card or Cloud.
12.3 Record/Playback/Delete
Access records on the 'MESSAGES' page by clicking 'Alarm Messages'. Use the provided buttons to playback or delete recordings. All screenshots and manually recorded videos are saved in Pictures & Videos and can be shared from your phone's Album.
13. Power Saving Settings
13.1 Alarm Interval
This feature prevents repeated alarms for the same event. For example, if set to a 5-minute interval, you won't receive new alarm pushes for 5 minutes after the first trigger, even if motion continues.
NOTE: This function is off by default and can be enabled as needed.
13.2 Recording Time
You can set the recording length, for instance, to 20 seconds. This duration will be available for viewing in the cloud playback history after the camera is triggered.
The app allows setting recording time (e.g., 10, 20, 30 seconds) and choosing an Alarm Working Mode (e.g., Custom Mode).
13.3 Alarm Plan
You can set a weekly/daily alarm schedule. The camera will only trigger and record alarm video during the specified working hours. The alarm schedule can be set for up to 4 time periods.
14. Battery Management
- The camera has a built-in high-capacity battery, providing 2-3 months of use assuming 15 wakes per day and 10 minutes of video playback daily.
- Battery durability is dependent on wake-up frequency; more frequent wakes drain the battery faster. It is recommended to lower 'Motion Detection' sensitivity or turn it off periodically.
- When the battery level drops below 20%, the app will send a reminder to charge.
- Charge the camera using a DC 5V 2A charger; a full charge takes approximately 6-8 hours.
15. Solar Panel
Step 1: Find a location with maximum daily sunlight exposure and adjust the solar panel's angle accordingly. The ZUMIMALL solar panel requires a few hours of direct sunlight to convert solar energy into electricity. Conversion efficiency is influenced by weather, seasons, and geographic location.
Step 2: Mount the bracket using the provided mounting template and screws.
Step 3: Slot the solar panel into the bracket and ensure it is securely fastened.
Step 4: Loosen the adjusting control on the bracket, set the solar panel's angle for direct sunlight, and then retighten the control.
Step 5: Connect the solar panel to the ZUMIMALL Camera using the micro USB cable.
Important Notes:
- Ensure there is NO blocking on the solar panel, as even partial blockage significantly reduces energy harvesting efficiency.
- Install the solar panel angularly, not horizontally, to prevent dust and debris accumulation.
- Regularly wipe the solar panel to remove dust or debris.
16. Multi Device Management
16.1 Multi Camera Management
The ZUMIMALL app allows managing multiple cameras. You can add more devices via the '+' icon and watch up to 4 cameras live simultaneously.
16.2 Multi-User Sharing
NOTE: One ZUMIMALL App account cannot log in on multiple devices simultaneously, and one camera cannot be connected to multiple App accounts. However, a camera can be shared from one user (A) to another (B).
Share Steps:
- User B downloads the ZUMIMALL App and creates a new account.
- User A clicks 'Add' in their app.
- User A scans User B's QR Code or inputs User B's account ID.
- User B accepts the share and refreshes the device page.
The process involves sharing the camera via QR code or account ID, selecting device usage permissions, and the recipient accepting the share.
17. ZUMIMALL FAQ
- Unable to connect network: Check WiFi name and password (no special symbols), ensure it's 2.4GHz, and that the camera and phone are on the same WiFi environment. Add the camera near the router.
- Connect to a new network: Remove the camera from the ZUMIMALL APP, long press the reset button to restore factory settings, and then reconnect.
- Reset the camera: Long press the reset button until you hear the 'Boogu' sound. Wait for the camera status indicator to flash red slowly.
- Can't charge: Charge for at least 8-10 hours with a 5V/2A adapter. Ensure the charging cable and power adapter are functional. The charging indicator is red while charging and turns blue when fully charged.
- Frequently received alarm information: Reduce motion detection sensitivity, check for objects interfering with the PIR sensor, and enable 'Alarm only when people appear' using the humanoid algorithm to filter false positives.
- Some people pass by without calling the police: Ensure good network condition (WiFi signal not lower than 70%), turn on motion detection and increase sensitivity, and make sure motion occurs within the PIR detection range.
- No alarm video recording: Confirm the camera is triggered, and ensure the Micro SD card is correctly inserted and recognized, or subscribe to cloud services.
- No alarm push: Check phone settings for ZUMIMALL app notification permissions. In the ZUMIMALL app, go to 'Settings' and enable alarm push. In the 'My' interface, enter settings and turn on push sound. Ensure motion detection is enabled. Restart the phone, clear cache if on Android, and check network connectivity.
- Unable to play local history playback: Check SD card status in 'Settings', reinsert the card, format it in the app, or use a new Micro SD card.
- Unable to play cloud playback: Ensure the cloud service function is enabled and open the cloud storage button in the cloud service interface.
- Device offline: Check the device's power status and indicator lights. Verify WiFi network is good and restart the router. If the camera is far from the router, move the router closer or use a signal extender. Delete the camera from the ZUMIMALL account, reset, and add it again. Ensure the device and app versions are the latest.
- Short battery life: Reduce camera motion detection sensitivity and the number of triggers. Decrease two-way intercom usage and live broadcast viewing. Set alarm intervals and alarm time plans. Check for objects interfering with the PIR sensor. Cold weather can reduce battery capacity.
- ZUMIMALL APP crashes: Re-download the latest ZUMIMALL APP version. Ensure your mobile phone system version is compatible. Clear the phone's cache.
- Unable to register an account: Ensure the ZUMIMALL APP has access to mobile cellular data and wireless LAN. Enter an unregistered account with the correct format.
- Unable to share device: Both accounts must be registered in the same country.
- No sound is heard when the device is talking: Open the speaker button in the app, adjust intercom volume in settings, turn on phone media volume, and release the intercom button to listen.
- Noise during two-way intercom: If the camera and phone are too close (1-2 meters), whistling may occur. Keep a reasonable distance between them during intercom.
- Live video is blurry: Check the lens for dust and clean it. Try switching between different resolutions. Re-add the camera after a reset.
- The live broadcast at night has white spots: White spots may appear on the screen if a light source is directly on the lens. Avoid pointing the lens at strong light sources.
