Required Permissions:
? Please ensure the following permissions are enabled in your phone's settings:

- Allow ZUMIMALL App to receive pushed messages. This ensures you receive alarms when motion is detected.
(App interface screenshots show wireless data settings and notification permissions.)

6. Add Camera to App
6.1 Preparations for Connection
- Insert a Micro SD Card into the camera to save video clips, or utilize the 7-day free cloud service. Without a Micro SD Card or cloud service, no video will be saved.
- The camera is compatible only with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi; it does not support 5GHz. If your router is dual-band, ensure it is set to 2.4GHz mode for camera operation.
- For successful pairing, confirm that both your phone and the camera are connected to the same network.
- When connecting to the network, position the camera close to the router (Recommended distance: 10-15ft).
Method 1: Bluetooth Setup (RECOMMENDED)
- On the Homepage, tap 'Add' or '+' in the upper right corner, then tap 'Add Device'.
- If your phone's Bluetooth is not enabled, the app will prompt you to allow it.
- Once Bluetooth is active, the app will automatically search for available devices. Select the device you wish to connect from the search list.
- Choose your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and enter the password. The app will display compatible 2.4GHz networks. 5GHz networks will not be shown. Typically, the Wi-Fi name and password for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands are similar. If your Wi-Fi is not found, consult your router provider regarding 2.4GHz Wi-Fi settings.
- The app will proceed to the Wi-Fi connection progress screen. A sound will indicate the connection status. Wait for a successful connection, indicated by the camera's indicator light turning solid blue. Click 'Next' to name your camera and assign it to a room. Click 'Done' to finalize setup.
- If connection fails, review the reason and resolution provided in the app. To reset the camera, long-press the reset button until you hear a 'Boogu' sound, then restart the setup process or try alternative methods.
(App interface screenshots illustrate the Bluetooth setup process.)
Method 2: QR Code Setup
Follow these steps to set up your camera using a QR code:
- Tap 'Add Device' on the app's homepage.
- Select the appropriate camera model.
- Turn on the camera by holding the power button.
- Input your Wi-Fi password.
- Prepare for scanning by following on-screen instructions.

8. Camera Installation
- Fix the bracket to your desired installation location using the supplied screws.
- Fasten the camera onto the mount and secure it.
- Adjust the viewing angle of the camera.
NOTE: You can move the lens horizontally and tilt it. The camera lens supports horizontal rotation of 355° and vertical rotation of 120°. Adjust the camera lens orientation for the best monitoring angle by clicking PTZ in the application and using the directional controls (up, down, left, right).
9. Important Notes
⚠️ To reduce false alarms, please note the following:
- Do not install the camera in a position facing strong lights, mirrors, windows, or swimming pools.
- Avoid installing the camera in areas with heavy traffic. The recommended distance between the camera and motion objects is within 32ft.
- Keep the camera away from outlets, including air conditioner vents, humidifier outlets, and heat transfer vents of projectors.
- Position the camera at least 1 meter away from any wireless devices to prevent interference, such as microwave ovens, Wi-Fi routers, etc.
10. Monitoring Area
- It is not recommended to install the camera vertically towards moving objects, as this may result in failure to detect motion events or cause delays.
- It is suggested to maintain an angle of more than 10 degrees between the PIR Sensor and detected objects.
- The camera's motion sensor is more sensitive to side-to-side movement across its field of view than to movement directly toward or away from the camera.
(Diagrams illustrate detection coverage based on sensor tilt angle and recommended installation height.)
- Suggestion: The best downward tilt angle of the lens is 15° to obtain the best alarm detection range.
- Recommended installation height: 8-10 feet above the ground. At this height, the sensor will provide a detection distance up to 40 feet.

13. PIR Motion Detection
13.1 Motion Detection Alarm Setting
Motion detection sensitivity can be adjusted from 1 to 10. Refer to the table below for sensitivity levels and corresponding detection distances.
Sensitivity | Detecting Distance |
---|---|
1-3 | 3.3-10ft (1-3m) |
4-7 | 13-23ft (4-7m) |
8-10 | 26-33ft (8-10m) |
NOTE: Higher sensitivity increases the PIR detection range but may also accelerate battery drain.
(App interface screenshots illustrate motion detection settings.)
13.2 Alarm Notification
This camera operates as an event recording device, triggered only by body motion detection, and does not support continuous 24/7 recording. System reactions include:
- Alarm notifications with sounds delivered via the App.
- Pictures and videos automatically stored on the Micro SD Card or in the Cloud.
13.3 Record/Playback/Delete
- On the 'MESSAGES' page, tap 'Alarm Messages' to view all recorded events.
- Use the provided buttons to playback or delete recordings.
- All screenshots and manually recorded videos from the live, history, or cloud pages are saved in 'Pictures & Videos'. These files can be saved to your phone's Album or shared directly with others.
(App interface screenshots demonstrate accessing and managing alarm messages and video recordings.)
14. Power Saving Settings
14.1 Alarm Interval
This feature prevents repeated alarms for the same event. You can set an alarm interval (e.g., 5 minutes). If the camera is triggered at 08:00, you will receive an alarm message, but no further notifications will be sent for the next 5 minutes, even if motion continues to be detected.
NOTE: This function is disabled by default and can be configured as needed.
14.2 Recording Time
You can specify the recording length (e.g., 20 seconds). After the camera is triggered, you can view the 20-second alarm video in the cloud playback history.
(App interface screenshots show power saving and motion detection settings.)
14.3 Alarm Plan
You can set a weekly or daily alarm schedule according to your needs. For example, if you set the camera's working hours from 0:00 to 1:00, it will only be triggered and record alarm video during this specific time period.
NOTE: The alarm schedule can be configured for up to 4 time periods.
(App interface screenshots illustrate setting alarm schedules.)
15. Battery Management
- The camera features a built-in high-capacity battery designed to last 2-3 months, assuming the camera wakes up 15 times per day and plays video for 10 minutes each day.
NOTE: Battery life is dependent on activation frequency. More frequent activations will drain the battery faster. It is recommended to lower the 'Motion Detection' sensitivity or disable it occasionally.
- When the battery level drops below 20%, the app will provide reminders to charge the device.
- Charge the camera using a DC 5V 2A charger until fully charged. This typically takes 6-8 hours.
16. Multi Device Management
16.1 Multi Camera Management
The ZUMIMALL app allows you to watch up to 4 cameras live simultaneously.
(App interface screenshots show the multi-camera live view.)
16.2 Multi-User Sharing
NOTE: A single App account cannot be logged in on multiple devices simultaneously. Similarly, one camera cannot be connected to multiple App accounts. However, a camera can be shared from user A to user B.
Share steps:
- User B downloads the ZUMIMALL App to their phone and creates a new account.
- On User A's phone, tap 'Add' within the app.
- User A scans User B's QR Code or inputs User B's account ID.
- User B accepts the share request and refreshes the device page.
(App interface screenshots detail the device sharing process, including permission customization and accepting shares.)
