Camera Introduction
The ieGeek PTZ Outdoor Security Camera features:
- SD Card Slot: Supports local SD card storage up to 128GB.
- Reset Key: Press and hold RESET for 5 seconds to reset the device to factory settings.
- Lens: Supports FHD resolution.
- Microphone: Captures sound for your videos.
- Working Status Light: Indicates device status (Solid red: abnormal, Slow flashing red: ready for Wi-Fi, Fast flashing red: Wi-Fi connecting, Solid blue: Wi-Fi connected).
- Speaker: Provides two-way audio output.
- Wi-Fi Antenna: For wireless connectivity.
- Power Supply: Connects to power.
- Bracket: For mounting the camera.
- LED Light: Indicates operational status.
APP Installation and Account Registration
1. Download 'CloudEdge' APP
Download the 'CloudEdge' APP from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) by searching or scanning the provided QR codes.
Tips: Ensure the following permissions are enabled for the app:
- Allow 'CloudEdge' APP to access mobile cellular data and wireless LAN for adding the camera.
- Allow 'CloudEdge' APP to receive pushed messages for alarm notifications.
2. Register Account
New users need to register by email. Follow the on-screen steps to complete registration and log in. Choose your current region and country code for proper functionality.
How to Add the Camera to APP
Before Using:
- Insert the Micro SD card before powering on the camera.
- Position the camera and smartphone 1-3 ft (30-100 cm) away from the router for Wi-Fi setup.
- Ensure the camera is using 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.
Wi-Fi Connection Steps:
- Tap '+' to Add Device.
- Select Smart Camera.
- Power on Camera.
- Reset Device (if needed).
- Input Wi-Fi Password.
- Scan QR Code displayed on the phone with the camera.
- Wait for Connection.
- Device Added successfully.
Troubleshooting: Camera Fails to Connect to Wi-Fi
- Ensure the device indicator light is slow flashing red before adding. If abnormal, reset the device.
- Verify the camera is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network, not 5GHz.
- Check Wi-Fi password for correct characters (no single quotes, underscores, spaces, or virgules).
- Check the number of devices connected to your router; exceeding the limit may prevent connection.
- Ensure the QR code on the phone screen is clear and the distance to the camera lens is 10-15cm (3.9-5.9 inches).
- If connection fails, try re-downloading the APP, resetting the camera, and restarting the router.

Mounting the Camera To The Wall
Note:
- Avoid installing the camera near a busy road to prevent frequent false alarms from pedestrian and vehicle movement.
- Install the camera within a good Wi-Fi signal range from the router for optimal performance.
Alert Settings
1. Motion Detection Settings
Navigate to Settings > Alert Settings > Motion Detection in the app to adjust sensitivity:
- Low: 4-5 meters detection distance.
- Medium: 5-8 meters detection distance.
- High: 8-10 meters detection distance.
2. Noise Detection
Sound and light alarms are effective at night. Choose from three modes: 'sound alarm', 'white light alarm', or 'sound and light alarm'.
Note: If night alarm is disabled, the camera will record in black and white at night.
Important Notes on Reducing False Alarms
- Do not face the camera towards bright lights (sunshine, lamps).
- Do not place the camera near outlets, air conditioner vents, humidifier outlets, or projector heat transfer vents.
- Do not install the camera in areas with strong wind.
- Do not face the camera towards a mirror.
- Keep the camera at least 1 meter away from wireless devices (Wi-Fi routers, phones) to avoid interference.
FAQs
- If the phone receives too many alarm messages, lower the motion detection level or set the alarm area.
- If alarm images show no moving objects despite frequent alarms, adjust motion detection level or alarm area due to potential light and shadow changes.
