Product Overview
The ieGeek PTZ Outdoor Security Camera offers advanced features for home and business security. Key components include the Wi-Fi Antenna, Bracket, Lens, LOD Light, Working Status Light, LED Light, SD Card Slot, Reset Key, and Speaker.
Key Features:
- Reset Key: Press and hold for 5 seconds to reset the device to factory settings.
- SD Card Slot: Supports local SD card storage up to 128GB.
- Lens: Supports FHD resolution.
- Microphone: Captures sound for your videos.
- Working Status Light: Indicates network and connection status.
APP Installation and Account Registration
To use your camera, download the 'CloudEdge' or 'ieGeek Cam' app from your device's app store or by scanning the provided QR code. Register an account using your email address. Ensure you grant the necessary permissions for the app to function correctly, including access to cellular data and push notifications.
Important Notes:
- Ensure your camera is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
- Verify Wi-Fi password accuracy; avoid special characters like single quotes, underscores, spaces, and commas.
- Keep the camera and smartphone close to the router during initial setup (1-3 ft / 30-100 cm).
Connecting Your Camera
Follow the in-app instructions to add your camera. This typically involves powering on the camera, resetting it if necessary, and then connecting it to your Wi-Fi network via the app. The app will guide you through the pairing process.
Mounting Instructions
When mounting the camera, consider the following to ensure optimal performance:
- Avoid installing near busy roads to minimize false alarms from frequent motion.
- Ensure the camera is within a good Wi-Fi signal range from your router.
