Camera Introduction
The camera features a Lens, Working Status Light, Wi-Fi Antenna, LED Light, Power Supply, Bracket, SD Card Slot, and Reset Key.
- Wi-Fi Antenna: For wireless network connectivity.
- Working Status Light: Indicates network status (Solid red: Network abnormal, Flashing red slowly: Ready for Wi-Fi connection, Flashing red quickly: Wi-Fi connecting, Solid on blue: Wi-Fi connected successfully).
- Lens: Captures video footage.
- LED Light: Provides illumination.
- Power Supply: Connects the camera to a power source.
- Bracket: For mounting the camera.
- SD Card Slot: Supports local SD card storage (up to 128GB).
- Reset Key: Press and hold for 5 seconds to reset the device to factory settings.
- Microphone: Captures sound for your videos.
APP Installation and Account Registration
Download 'ieGeek Cam' APP:
Method 1: Download from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
Method 2: Scan the 'ieGeek Cam' APP QR code to download.
Tips for APP Usage:
- Allow 'ieGeek Cam' APP to access mobile cellular data and wireless LAN for proper functionality.
- Allow 'ieGeek Cam' APP to receive pushed messages for motion detection and audible alarm notifications.
Register Account
New users need to register by email. Follow the on-screen steps to complete registration and log in.
Note:
- Choose your actual region and correct country code during registration. Different registered regions cannot share the camera.
- Register using your email address.
How to Add a Camera for APP
Before Using:
- Insert the Micro SD card before powering on the device.
- Position the camera and smartphone 1-3 ft (30-100 cm) away from the router for Wi-Fi setup.
- Ensure the camera is using 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.
Wi-Fi Connection Steps:
Follow the on-screen prompts in the app: Tap '+' to Add Device, Select Smart Camera, Power on Camera, Reset Device, Input Wi-Fi Password, Scan QR Code, Wait for Connection, Device Added.
My camera fails to connect Wi-Fi?
- Ensure the device shows a slow flashing red light. If not, reset the device to factory settings by holding the RESET button until you hear a sound.
- Verify the camera is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network, not 5GHz.
- Confirm the Wi-Fi password is correct. It should not contain single quotes, underlines, spaces, or virgules.
- Check the number of devices connected to your router, as routers have connection limits.
- Ensure the QR code on the phone screen is clear and maintain a distance of 10-15cm (3.9-5.9 inches) between the phone and the camera lens during scanning.
- If connection issues persist, try re-downloading the app, resetting the camera, restarting the router, and adding the camera again.
- If problems continue, contact service@iegeek.com with your order number and issue description.
Mounting The Camera To The Wall
The manual includes a diagram illustrating the mounting process with screws and wall anchors. Ensure proper placement to avoid frequent alarms from pedestrian or vehicle traffic and maintain a strong Wi-Fi signal.
Note for Installation:
- Avoid installing near busy roads to prevent excessive motion detection alerts.
- Install the camera close enough to the router for a stable Wi-Fi connection.
