General Information
- Compatible with R-32 VRF air, water, and mini-VRF systems.
- Features Calm air mode: When activated in cooling mode, the unit closes its louver and disperses air through thousands of micro-holes on the front, preventing cold air drafts.
- Integral condensate pump with maximum 30-3/8" lift from the unit bottom (21-5/8" from drain outlet), including a check valve and float switch to disable the unit in case of condensate overflow.
- Fascia panel includes a built-in Wi-Fi adapter for control and monitoring via the Samsung SmartThings app.
- Includes knockout for outside air capability.
Construction
- Insulated HIPS chassis and fascia panel certified to UL94 V0 flame retardant rating.
- High-voltage terminal block temperature sensor to disable the unit in the event of power connection overheating.
Refrigerant System
- Heat exchanger: Mechanically bonded aluminum fin to copper tube.
- Includes an R32 alarm output plug for simple notification or interlock of third-party equipment upon R32 leak detection (VSTAT10P-1 accessory required).
Indoor Fan
- Single turbo type indoor fan.
- Offers three fan speed settings and an auto setting.
- Includes an electro-static, washable filter as standard (integrated into the fascia panel).
- Fascia panel features LED indicator lights, an infrared receiver, and (4) motorized louvers with independent control (32°-65° louver control range).
Controls

- Operated via a wired remote controller model VSTAT04P-1 (purchased separately).

External Heat Control
- Functionality for configuring fan operation during auxiliary heat, defrost, and emergency heat (VSTAT10P-1 accessory required).
- Configuration settings include outside ambient external heat lockout, outside ambient compressor lockout, and time delay options (VSTAT10P-1 accessory required).
- Emergency heat functionality allows the system to continue controlling the external heat source even when system errors prevent the heat pump from operating (VSTAT10P-1 accessory required).
Convenience
- Emergency Temperature Output (ETO) function: Outputs a signal to an external source (e.g., backup system, building management system, alert device) when the indoor unit is in error status or when room temperature exceeds a configurable level.
