General Information

The system features comfort humidity control, optimizing indoor unit coil temperature based on an integral humidity sensor and dew point to maximize energy savings while ensuring space dehumidification and occupant comfort.

The indoor unit includes an integral condensate pump with a maximum 29-inch lift from the unit bottom, featuring a check valve and float switch to disable the unit in case of condensate overflow.

The indoor unit fascia panel is equipped with a standard built-in Wi-Fi adapter for control and monitoring via the Samsung SmartThings app.

Construction

The chassis and fascia panel are constructed from insulated HIPS material, certified to UL94 V0.

Includes a knock-out for outside air capability, allowing for booster fan connection.

All heat exchangers utilize mechanically bonded aluminum fins to copper tubes.

Refrigerant System

The system uses low-GWP R-32 refrigerant.

Refrigerant flow is managed by an electronic expansion valve located at the indoor unit.

Indoor Fan

Offers three fan speed settings and an auto setting.

Equipped with a washable filter as standard.

Features LED indicator lights and an infrared receiver.

The indoor unit design avoids air louvers or blades that restrict full airflow.

Air direction control is achieved by creating a low-pressure area near the air outlet, guiding discharge air angle.

Provides fixed or auto-swing air direction control (10° to 60° angle) with local and central controller options.

Independent air distribution control is available with wireless or premium wired controllers, offering three directions (10° to 60° angle).

Controls

Utilizes 2 x 16 AWG control wiring.

Operation is supported via a wireless or wired remote control with DDC-type signal (purchased separately).

Supports dual set temperature when used with compatible controllers.

No additional interface modules or adapters are needed when connecting to Samsung central control options.

External Heat Control

External heat control functionality allows configuration of fan operation during auxiliary heat, defrost, and emergency heat modes (requires VSTAT10P-1 accessory).

Configuration settings include external heat lockout based on outside ambient conditions, external compressor lockout, and time delay options (requires VSTAT10P-1 accessory).

Emergency heat functionality ensures the system continues controlling the external heat source even when system errors prevent the heat pump from operating (requires VSTAT10P-1 accessory).

Convenience

Features an Emergency Temperature Output (ETO) function. When the indoor unit is in an error status or the room temperature exceeds a configurable threshold, the system outputs a signal to an external source, such as a backup system, building management system, or alert device (e.g., status light, warning lamp, buzzer).
