General Information

• The system features comfort humidity control, optimizing indoor unit coil temperature based on dew point using an integral humidity sensor for energy savings and occupant comfort.

• The indoor unit fascia panel has a standard built-in Wi-Fi adapter for control and monitoring via the Samsung SmartThings app.

Construction

• Insulated HIPS chassis and fascia panel certified to UL94 V0.
• Knock-out provided for outside air capability (booster fan connection).
• All heat exchangers feature mechanically bonded aluminum fin to copper tube construction.

Refrigerant System

• The system utilizes low-GWP R-32 refrigerant.
• Refrigerant flow is controlled by an electronic expansion valve located at the indoor unit.
• An R32 alarm output plug is included for simple notification of R32 leak detection (requires VSTAT10P-1 accessory).

Indoor Fan

External Heat Control

• Configuration settings include outside ambient external heat lockout, outside ambient compressor lockout, and time delay options (requires VSTAT10P-1 accessory).
• Emergency heat functionality allows the system to continue controlling the external heat source even if system errors prevent the heat pump from operating (requires VSTAT10P-1 accessory).

Convenience

• Features an Emergency Temperature Output (ETO) function. When the indoor unit is in an error status or room temperature exceeds a configurable level, the system outputs a signal to an external source (e.g., backup system, building management system, alert device like a status light, warning lamp, or buzzer).
