Genexis FiberTwist P2410/P2411 Installation Guide
This guide provides instructions for installing the Genexis FiberTwist P2410 and P2411 devices.
Product Overview
The Genexis FiberTwist series includes the P2410 and P2411 models. These devices are designed for fiber optic connectivity.

Label Position: The product label is positioned on the back of the active device.
Preparation: Ensure there is a power socket within reach of where the device is being installed.
Important: Instructions need to be followed precisely and uninterrupted. This minimizes the risk of damage to the fiber optic connectors, causing a severe degradation of signal quality.
Button Overview
- Unlock button: Remove Fiber Twist or Blind Cover - press and hold while twisting counterclockwise.
- Reset button (recessed): Press and release to reset the device.
- LED dim button: Press and release to dim LEDs in steps.
Port Overview
The device features LAN ports (LAN1, LAN2, LAN3, LAN4) and a Power port.
LED Overview
System LEDs:
- Green: System OK
- Green (blinking): Booting
- Red: System Error
- Red (blinking): Insufficient optical signal
- Off: Power off
Uplink LEDs:
- Green: Link OK
- Green (blinking): Link OK, no remote management
- Off: No link
Installation Steps
Remove Blind Cover (if present)
- Press and hold the unlock button.
- Rotate the Blind Cover counterclockwise until it clicks into place.
- Remove the Blind Cover from the baseplate (FTU) by pulling it towards yourself.
- Store the Blind Cover in a safe place.
Remove Dust Cap
- Take the Fiber Twist out of the box.
- The dust cap is connected to the red string located on the rear of the Fiber Twist.
- Remove the dust cap by pulling the red string.
- Store the dust cap in a safe place.
Twist!
- Place the FiberTwist on the FTU at a 30-degree angle as shown in the diagram.
- Rotate clockwise until it clicks into place.
- Ensure the FiberTwist is aligned squarely on the FTU, with each edge lining up directly with the FTU below.
Your Fiber Twist is now installed!
Connecting the Fiber Twist
- If required, connect your personal devices to the LAN ports via an RJ45 network cable.
- Connect the supplied power adapter to the FiberTwist and plug the adapter into a power socket.
Uninstalling the Fiber Twist: If it becomes necessary to uninstall the Fiber Twist, please place the Blind Cover back on the FTU immediately and put the dust cap back on the FiberTwist.
Warning: The FiberTwist is a Class 1 laser product.
