Assembly Instructions
Ensure all parts are present before beginning assembly. For missing parts, contact the dealer where the bed was purchased.
- Attach two mattress rails (E) to headboard/footboard assemblies (D) using 8 lag bolts and 8 washers, then tighten.
- Spread the slat roll across the bed frame from end to end. Secure the slat roll with wood screws in the four outside corners, ensuring the slats are pushed tightly against the bed end. Insert three loose slats into the gaps within the slat roll and screw them down. Refer to subsequent pages for detailed slat installation information.
- Refer to the next page for headboard installation and L-bracket installation for the underdresser.
Headboard Bracket Placement
Follow these steps for attaching the headboard brackets and connecting the underdresser components.
- Attach one ½" x 2" straight bracket at each end of the headboard. These brackets should span the joint between the top rail of the end assemblies (D) and the bottom edge of the headboard uprights.
- Attach a 2x4 bracket inside each end, centered on the headboard ends.
- Attach two 2 ¼" 'L' brackets to the top of the underdresser corner blocks at each end. Also, attach them to the back of the front side rail cleat as shown in Detail C. Use two additional 2 ¼" brackets to connect the back, bottom ends of the underdresser to the bottom rail of each end panel, as depicted in Detail D.
Detail C Description: Shows a 2 1/4" 'L' bracket positioned on the top corner block of the underdresser and attached to the front side rail cleat.
Detail D Description: Shows a 2 1/4" 'L' bracket connecting the bottom back end of the underdresser to the bottom rail of the end panel.
