HOVET Mirror Assembly Instructions
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for assembling and safely mounting the IKEA HOVET mirror.
Important Information
Note on Screws: As wall materials vary, screws for fixing the mirror to the wall are not included. For advice on suitable screw systems, please contact your local specialized dealer.

- 2x Brackets (Part No. 10146789, 10146788)
- 2x Screws (Part No. 111275)
Assembly Steps
Step 1: Attach Brackets to Mirror
Secure the provided brackets to the back of the mirror frame.
- Take the two included brackets (Part No. 10146789, 10146788).
- Attach them to the back of the mirror frame using the two included screws (Part No. 111275) and any accompanying nuts or bolts. Ensure they are firmly attached.
Step 2: Prepare Wall Markings
Mark the desired positions on the wall for mounting the mirror.
Tools required:
- ? Spirit level
- ✏️ Pencil
For vertical mounting:
- Measure and mark points on the wall. A common distance shown is 764 mm (30 1/16") from the floor or a corner.
- Use a spirit level to ensure the marks are horizontal.
For horizontal mounting:
- Measure and mark points on the wall. A common distance shown is 1944 mm (76 9/16") from the floor or a corner.
- Use a spirit level to ensure the marks are horizontal.
Step 3: Install Wall Fixings
Install appropriate wall fixings into the marked positions.
Note: Wall mounting screws and plugs are not included.
- Drill holes at the marked points.
- Insert suitable wall plugs (if required for your wall type).
- Insert screws into the wall. The diagrams show two screws are typically used for each mounting orientation.
Step 4: Hang the Mirror
Carefully lift and hang the mirror onto the wall fixings.
- Lift the mirror with the attached brackets.
- Hook the brackets onto the screws or fixings previously installed on the wall.
- Ensure the mirror is securely and safely mounted.
