Overview
Thank you for purchasing this camera. The K5X is a professional mini HD WiFi camera with a built-in WiFi module, supporting wireless network protocols. It records in 2K resolution at 30fps, ensuring clear and smooth video. The compact SD card storage allows playback on computers or TVs. Please keep these instructions for proper use.

Structure

Operation
Power On
Long press the power button for 3 seconds. The motor vibrates, and the indicator lights turn on. The blue light turns off, and the red light flashes slowly, indicating the recorder has started recording.
Power Off
Long press the power button for 3 seconds. The motor vibrates, and the red/blue indicator flashes three times before the recorder shuts down.
Snapshot
While recording, short press the power button. The recorder takes a picture, and the motor vibrates once.
Red/Blue Indicator Light Working Status
- Blue Light: Slow flash indicates charging; steady light indicates fully charged.
- Red Light: Slow flash indicates recording; quick flash indicates emergency recording; steady light indicates recording has stopped.
G-Sensor: The built-in G-Sensor triggers emergency video recording (file name format: GSR-XXXX). It can save up to 20 emergency videos, automatically deleting the oldest when the limit is reached.
No Memory Card: If the recorder is turned on without a memory card inserted, it will automatically shut down after 1 minute.
Low Battery Mode
When the battery is low, the red/blue indicator light flashes three times slowly, and the recorder shuts down.
Charging Mode
The blue indicator light flashes slowly while charging and stays steady when fully charged. Use a 5V/2A or higher charger. Fast charging chargers are not recommended. The recorder will record while charging. To charge without recording, long press the power button to turn off the recorder.
Recorder Connect Computer Operation
When connected to a computer, the red/blue indicator light remains steady. The device functions as a U disk, allowing you to browse files on the memory card.
Recording Operation
When connected to an external power supply, the recorder does not automatically start recording upon startup. To record while charging, short press the power button once after the recorder is turned on; the red indicator light will flash slowly, and recording will begin.
Turn on/off WiFi
WiFi is off when the recorder is not connected to external power. To turn on WiFi, double-click the power button; the blue indicator will flash slowly. The blue indicator stays steady when successfully connected to the APP. To turn off WiFi, double-click the power button; the blue indicator will turn off. If no connection is made after WiFi is turned on, the WiFi function will automatically turn off after 3 minutes.
Reset WiFi Password and WiFi Name
Place a TXT file containing the reset information in the SD card's root directory. Insert the memory card into the recorder and press the power button. The system will automatically reset the WiFi password and name upon startup. Contact customer service for the required TXT files.
2.4G Wired Controller
Functions:
- Red Button: Short press once while the recorder is on to capture a picture; the motor vibrates once.
- Blue Button: Single press (recorder on) turns on WiFi; the blue indicator light flashes slowly. Single press (WiFi on) turns off WiFi; the blue indicator turns off. Triple press continuously (recorder on) causes the red/blue indicator to flash three times quickly, the motor vibrates three times, and the recorder shuts down.
Battery Replacement
The controller uses a CR2032 coin cell battery. Use a screwdriver to remove the four screws on the bottom of the controller and lift off the protective cover. Push the coin cell battery out using a screwdriver or fingernail. Install the new battery into the battery base, observing the positive and negative poles. After ensuring normal operation, close the protective cover and screw it back on.
Mobile APP Installation and Operation Instruction
The VSYSTO WiFi APP is mobile control software for VSYSTO camera equipment. It connects to the camera via Wi-Fi, allowing direct video preview, file viewing, and settings adjustments on your mobile phone, offering a new user experience.
Download and Installation
Scan the provided QR codes (for iOS and Android) to download the latest APP from Google Play or the App Store. Alternatively, search for "WiFi Camera" on these platforms.
Conditions of Use and Product Association
- Requires a smart terminal with Android 5.0 or higher, or an Apple terminal.
- Must be used with a VSYSTO-designed recorder terminal device.
- Connect your mobile phone's WiFi to the camera's WiFi correctly.
- Default WiFi Name: K5X-xxxx
- Default WiFi Password: 1234567890
- Ensure the APP is updated to the latest version for optimal function.
Connection Steps
- Turn on the recorder. Double-click the power button or short press the blue button on the remote control once to activate WiFi.
- On your phone's WiFi settings, find the corresponding WiFi name (e.g., K5X-xxxx) and enter the password (1234567890) to connect.
- Open the mobile phone APP and connect to the recorder.
Live Preview (Video/Photo)
After connecting the phone to the camera's WiFi, open the APP and tap "Connect Device" to enter the preview state. You can control the camera to record video or take photos. Tap the screen to enter full-screen display.
Synchronous Recorder Time
After connecting the phone to the camera's WiFi and opening the APP, a "Command succeeded" message indicates that the recorder's time has been synchronized with your phone's time.
Browse Camera Files
In the "Online" tab of the APP, click on files to play them back directly from the camera's memory card.
Download or Delete Camera Files
In the "Online" tab, click "EDIT" to select the desired files for download or deletion, then click "Save" or "Delete" as needed.
Camera Parameter Setting
Tap "Settings" to access the camera's parameter settings interface. Here you can adjust various parameters, including the DVR's WiFi name and password via the "Set SSID" option.
Local Files Management
Tap "Local" to enter the interface for managing files stored directly on your mobile phone. Replay or delete these files with operations similar to the online interface.
Video File Name Conventions
- REC-XXXX: Normal recorded videos.
- GSR-XXXX: Emergency recorded videos (triggered by G-Sensor).
Troubleshooting
- Forgot Password: Contact customer service for a firmware fix.
- Lens Fuzzy or Unclear Video: Check the camera lens for dirt and dust.
- Device Freezes or Does Not Record: Press the reset button using a sharp needle.
- Camera Powers On But Does Not Record: Verify the TF card is functioning correctly. Format the card on a computer or through the APP.
