Matters Needing Attention in Using the Dash Cam

  • This product is an auxiliary (vehicle driving recorder) product for safe driving. Any loss caused by malfunction, information loss or using this product is irrelevant to our company.
  • This product is an auxiliary device for recording external images of vehicles. Due to the different driving environment and vehicle environment, some functions will not support. The unscheduled firmware upgrade in order to improve the product will change the performance of the product, and sometimes the camera will cannot record due to the environment, so the driving images recorded in this product is for reference only. The state of TF card will also lead to camera cannot record.
  • Although this product can record and save the videos of accidents, it does not guarantee that all the accident videos can be recorded. Slight collision accidents can't start the collision sensor, so the video may not be recorded in the specialized folder.
  • Be sure to disconnect the power supply when inserting or pulling out TF memory card.
  • For the safe of product stability, please format TF card at least once a week.
  • General TF cards have a lifetime. Long-term use may cause data to be unsaved. In this case, it is recommended to buy a new TF card to use, and the company will not be liable for data destruction caused by long-term use.
  • Please do not install or operate this product while driving.
  • This device may disturb the function of improperly protected medical equipment. If you have any question or are uncertain whether the medical equipment can shield external RF energy, please consult your doctor or medical equipment manufacturer.
  • Please do not make this product subject to strong impact or vibration, so as not to damage the product and cause malfunction or unavailable.
  • Please do not use it in an environment with excessive dust density, so as to prevent cameras and other parts from being contaminated with dust, which will affect the video effect.
  • Please stop using this product before cleaning and maintenance.
  • Please do not use chemical solvents or detergents to clean this product.
  • Please do not unauthorized disassemble or modify this product.
  • The ambient temperature range for the normal use of this device's function is -20 to 65 degrees Celsius. Exceeding this temperature range may lead to product malfunction, outbreak of fire or explosion.
  • Please use it within the scope permitted by law.

Function Operation

Loop Recording Function

When the TF card is full, the old files recorded before will be deleted automatically in order. If there is an emergency file during recording, the file will not be deleted. The loop recording time can be set to 1/2/3/5 minutes.

G-sensor Trigger Lock File

After the sensitivity of G-sensor is on, when the device is recording, after the G-sensor triggers a collision and reaches the system preset level, the video will be locked to ensure that it will not be looped. The video file name is named GSR-XXXXXXXXXXX. When the TF card video file exceeds 10 "GSR" videos, the system will delete the earliest one.

Mobile Phone APP Installation and Operation Instructions

WiFi APP is a mobile phone control software used with Vsysto DVR device. This software is connected to the DVR device via Wi-Fi, it can directly preview and playback the video on the mobile phone, easily realize that viewing the camera documents on the screen of mobile phone, setting or other operations. Subverting the control method of traditional cameras, bring you a new experience.

QR codes are provided for app download: one for Android users and one for Apple users.

Conditions of use and product association:

  1. Smart terminal with Android 5.0 or higher or Apple terminal.
  2. Purchase a recorder terminal device that uses Vsysto design scheme, and connect the mobile phone WiFi to the camera correctly.

DVR WiFi Default Name: MotoDV_XXX

Default password: 1234567890

To ensure the normal use of APP functions, please update the APP to the latest version in time.

Time of Synchronous DVR

After WiFi connection between the mobile phone and the DVR, open the APP, and the time of the mobile phone and the time of the DVR have been synchronized when “Instruction succeeded” prompted. The app interface shows icons for 'Device', 'Online', 'Local', and 'Settings'.

Live Preview (video/photo)

After connecting the DVR WiFi with mobile phone, open the APP, click "Connect Device" to enter the video preview status. In the video preview status, it is feasible to control the DVR to record and take photo. If there is a rear camera, click an icon [camera switch] to switch front and rear camera images. Click an icon [fullscreen] to switch to full screen display.

Browse DVR Files

Click an icon [folder] to browse files in the DVR memory card. The app interface shows 'Device', 'Online', 'Local', 'Settings' icons.

Replay the DVR Files

Browsing the DVR file interface in the "Online" option, click the file which you want to replay. Click an icon [switch camera] on the upper left to switch files of the front and rear camera; F represents the front camera and R represents the rear camera.

Download or Delete DVR Files

Browsing the DVR file interface in the "Online" option, click "Edit" to select the file which you want to download or delete and then click "Save" or "Delete" below as needed. The app interface shows file lists and a download progress indicator.

Local Files Management

Click an icon [local files] to enter the browsing interface of local files to replay/delete the files stored in the mobile phone. The operation is similar to the online interface.

DVR Parameter Setting

Click the settings icon ⚙️ to enter parameter setting interface of the DVR to set some parameters of the DVR in the APP. Among them, you can set the WiFi name and password of the DVR in "Set SSID". The settings menu includes options like Looping Video, Sound Record, G-sensor, Reset Camera, Format SD Card, Set SSID, privacy policy, and service agreement.

Quick Installation Guide

Preliminary Test

  1. Connect camera 1 & 2 to DVR host.
  2. Find the special USB power cable and connect it to your power bank or USB adaptor to do a quick test before installation.
  3. Prepare installation if everything looks good.

Instructions of the matched 12V→5V power module:

Normal Version: Connect red wire to battery positive, black wire to battery negative, yellow wire to the 12V port controlled by key ignition (ACC port).

Smart Version: The same connection with normal version but please waggle the power module (black box) around every 3 minutes to trigger the power supply, otherwise the electricity will be cut off automatically.

Quick Installation Guide (Installation Steps)

  1. Locating the proper place to fix the front & rear camera, wired controller (optional), main unit (normally placed under the seat).
  2. Planning the path of camera cable, wired controller cable, power cable before installation.
  3. Fix and connect these parts by 3M tape, screws, cable ties on the proper place.
  4. Normal power module: Connect red wire to battery positive, black wire to battery negative, yellow wire to the 12V port controlled by key ignition (ACC port).
  5. Smart power module: The DVR will be turned on while engine start, the DVR will be turned off after engine stop.

Different motorcycle has different installation way, different DVR model has different cable connection definition (The diagram is for reference only).

The position of the main unit and lens cable should be away from the high-voltage circuit like xenon lamp, ignition plug etc.

If your motorcycle is a traditional carburetor system please try to change a suitable R-value ignition plug when you meet the interference phenomenon.

Quick Adjustment

  1. Release the lens cap, viewing the screen and rotate the lens body to adjust the horizontal view angle.
  2. Normal power module: The DVR will be turned on/off while engine on/off.
  3. Smart power module: The DVR will be turned on while engine start; The DVR will be turned off after engine stop.

Accessories Installation

Camera

A diagram shows the 'Camera Module' connected to an 'Extension Cable' which connects to the 'main unit'. The concave and convex bayonet of the joint shall be matched correctly.

Please fix the camera with our standard extension cable before connecting to the DVR unless 0.5M is enough for you. Please keep the extension cable in case you will need it in someday.

Battery Power Cable (optional)

A diagram shows connecting the red wire to battery anode and the black wire to battery cathode, then connecting the "U" shape terminal cable to the power module. It is noted that the concave and convex bayonet of the joint shall be matched correctly. This connection method is to prevent damage from unsteady voltage.

ACC Power Cable (optional)

A diagram shows connecting the red wire to battery anode, the black wire to battery cathode, and the yellow wire to a 12V wire that is controlled by your key (ACC). It is noted that the concave and convex bayonet of the joint shall be matched correctly.

Wired Controller

The wired controller has an 'LED Light' to display the DVR working status and 'Buttons' which, when short-pressed, can save an emergency video file and take a snapshot.

Wired controller indicator light description:

  • Slow flash: normal video recording of DVR.
  • Quick flash: after pressing the wired controller, the emergency video will be started and the front and rear cameras will take a picture at the same time, and the indicator light will flash quickly. When the current emergency video is recorded, the wired controller will resume the slow flashing state.
  • Constant light: DVR is in standby state.

Note: The files generated by the wired controller will be named with "KEY". "KEY" video files recorded in emergency will not be overwritten by normal recorded video. But when the video files in the memory card exceed 10 KEY-XXXXXX videos, the system will automatically delete the oldest one.

Troubleshooting

Wrong recording timeFind the time and date option in the menu settings, set the date and time manually, or connect to WIFI to enter the APP to update the time automatically. If the DVR has GPS, it will also update to the current time after GPS positioning. If the GPS update time is different from the current time, please check the settings menu to see whether the time zone option is the local time zone.
The display is always on/Rest screenThe display is always onBy default, the DVR will not operate after 1 minute, and the screen will shut down automatically. ②If you want to keep the DVR’s display screen always light on. You need to find the "turn off screen automatically" option in the menu setting interface and set it to off.

WiFi Connection ProcessCan't find WiFiPlease check whether WiFi is turned off. You can check whether WiFi is turned off in the menu setting interface.
WiFi password is incorrectFind the reset system in the settings interface to restore factory settings. The default password is 1234567890.
WiFi connection failedAfter turning off the WIFI function of the mobile phone, turn on the WIFI function and connect to the WIFI again.
WIFI has been connected to the APP, but there is no image, or the command failedFor Android, please turn off WiFi helper and turn off 4G network. Reconnect to WIFI.

Installation Process Troubleshooting

Installation ProcessInstallation, wiring, fixed cameras① Try to keep away the engine and high voltage package when installing the cameras cables. ② The front and rear cameras must be installed in a strong location which has little vibration.
ACC power cable installationThe red wire is connected to the positive electrode of the battery, the black wire is connected to the negative electrode, and the yellow wire is connected to the ACC which is controlled by the key. The ACC position is generally below the lock. If you can't find it, please go to the repair shop to install it.
GPS module installationIt is recommended to place the GPS module in an open location at the front or rear of the vehicle. Place the three letters which is on the GPS towards the sky, and the installation position should not be close to cameras.
Wired controller installationIt is recommended to install it near the handlebar of the motorcycle to observe the video recording status of the DVR during driving conveniently and to operate the wired controller conveniently.

ATTENTION

Solutions for WiFi Connection Problem on Some Mobile Phones:

Android: Firstly turn off your phone's mobile data and then connect to DVR's WiFi. If the prompt "Trust this Network" appears, you must click "YES", because Android phone forbids mobile data to ensure the recorded video file transferring speed from DVR to mobile phone.

iOS: Allows the mobile phone to continue to use the mobile network after connecting to the recorder via WIFI, but it affects the speed of downloading the DVR's video files to the mobile phone.
