Overview

The VSYSTO K5X is designed as a reliable companion for outdoor activities such as motorcycle and bicycle riding. It captures high-resolution videos at 2304 x 1296@30fps in MOV/H.264 format. The camera features a 170-degree fisheye lens for a wide field of view, which can also be rotated 360 degrees. With an IPX4 water resistance rating and Wi-Fi connectivity for a dedicated iOS and Android app, the K5X allows users to easily record and manage their journey's moments.

The K5X features the following components:

Operation

Power On

Press and hold the power button. The red/blue indicator light will illuminate, and the motor will vibrate for 3 seconds. A slow blue light flash and a single motor vibration indicate that the recorder has started recording.

Power Off

In recording mode, press and hold the power button. The motor will vibrate three times, and the red/blue indicator light will flash slowly three times before the recorder powers off and stops recording.

Battery Level Indicator

A short press of the power button when the device is on displays the battery level:

• One red light flash: 25% battery.
• Two red light flashes: 50% battery.
• Three red light flashes: 75% battery.
• Four red light flashes: 100% battery.

Low Battery Mode

When the battery voltage is critically low, the motor will vibrate three times, and the red/blue indicator light will flash slowly three times before the recorder automatically shuts down.

Charging Mode

Connect a Type-C charger (5V/2A) to the device. The red indicator light will flash slowly during charging. A solid red light indicates the battery is fully charged. The K5X supports continuous video recording while charging.

Emergency Recording Mode

In recording mode, double-press the power button to activate emergency recording. Files from this mode are named "GSR-XXXX". Normal recording files are named "REC-XXXX". The device automatically locks the latest 10 emergency recording videos to prevent overwriting. Once this limit is reached, the oldest locked emergency video will be overwritten.

LED Indicator

• Blue Light: Steady (light on) indicates recording stopped. Slow blinking indicates normal recording. Fast blinking signifies emergency mode.
• Red Light: Slow blinking indicates the device is charging. Steady (light on) indicates the battery is fully charged.

Inserting a Memory Card

Insert the memory card into the card slot in the correct orientation until it clicks. To remove the card, push it to eject it.

• Avoid inserting or removing the memory card while the device is powered on to prevent data corruption.
• Use a high-speed Micro SD card with CLASS10 rating.
• Format the memory card before first use and periodically to ensure optimal performance and compatibility with the device.

Wi-Fi Connection Guide

Connect your smartphone to the K5X via Wi-Fi to save, playback, and manage recordings. You can also adjust settings through the dedicated app.

1. Download the 'WiFi Camera' app from Google Play or the App Store by scanning the provided QR codes or searching directly.
2. Connect your smartphone to the 'K5' Wi-Fi network. The default password is '1234567890'.
3. Wi-Fi App Operation:
   • The camera will stop recording when the Wi-Fi app is opened during a recording session. It will resume recording automatically 30 seconds after the app is closed. Manual start/stop recording is also available within the app.
   • Click the record button icon [▶️] to stop recording manually.
   • Click the record button icon [▶️] to start recording manually.
   • Click the camera icon [?] to take a photo.
   • Click the expand icon [⛶] to enter/exit full-screen view.
   • Click the back arrow icon [←] to navigate to the previous menu.

Troubleshooting

Q: What if I forget my WiFi password?
A: Contact customer service for firmware assistance.

Q: The lens is fuzzy and the video is not clear.
A: Check the lens for any dirt or dust and clean it.

Q: The recorder crashes or does not record.
A: Use a pin to press the reset hole on the recorder to reset the device.

Q: The recorder can be turned on, but not recorded.
A: Ensure the TF card is functioning correctly. Format it on a computer or via the Wi-Fi app. If issues persist, consider replacing the TF card.

Tips

• Use a 5V/2A charger for optimal charging.
• It is normal for the device to generate some heat during operation.
• For the best viewing experience with the device's super HD 2K resolution, use a monitor with a resolution of 2K or higher.
• The device records approximately 175MB of video per minute. A 64GB card can store about 6 hours of footage.
