Important Safety Precautions

⚠️ Special attention should be paid when using this test and measurement instrument, as improper usage may cause electric shock and damage the equipment.

Use proper measurement category (CAT), voltage, and amperage rated probes, test leads, and adapters for the measurement.
Do not use or store the device around explosive gas, vapor, or under high temperature and humidity.
When handling test probes and crocodile clips, keep your fingers behind the physical guard.
Examine the measuring test leads before use. If any part of the insulation is deteriorated (even partially), replace them with proper functional test leads.
Connect the common test lead before the live test lead, and remove the live test lead before the common test lead.
Before measuring current, ensure the instrument has available fuses and disconnect the power supply to the circuit being tested.
Remove the batteries if the device is not used for an extended period or if stored in temperatures above 45 °C. Battery leakage can damage the device if batteries are not removed.

Rated for CAT IV 600V and CAT III 1000V.

Operating Instructions

Battery Installation

Follow these steps to install batteries:

Open the battery compartment cover.
Insert four AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Voltage Measurement (DC/AC)

To measure voltage:

Connect the red test lead to the 'V/Ω/mA' jack and the black test lead to the 'COM' jack.
Set the rotary dial to the desired voltage mode (VDC for DC Voltage, ~VAC for AC Voltage).
Connect the test probes to the circuit or power source.
Read the voltage value displayed on the screen. (Example readings: 173 V, 360 V~).

Resistance Measurement

To measure resistance:

Connect the red test lead to the 'V/Ω/mA' jack and the black test lead to the 'COM' jack.
Set the rotary dial to the 'Ω' (Ohm) mode.
Connect the test probes across the component or circuit where resistance is to be measured.
Read the resistance value displayed on the screen. (Example reading: 150 Ω).

Insulation Measurement

To perform an insulation test:

Connect the red test lead to the 'V/Ω/mA' jack and the black test lead to the 'COM' jack.
Set the rotary dial to the 'INSULATION' mode.
Press the 'TEST.V' button to initiate the insulation test.
Read the insulation resistance value displayed on the screen. (Example reading: 520 MΩ).
