Quick Start Guide

Safety Precautions

Important: Special attention must be paid when using this test and measurement instrument, as improper usage may cause electric shock and damage to the equipment.

  • Use probes, test leads, and adapters with the proper measurement category (CAT), voltage, and amperage ratings.
  • Do not use or store the device near explosive gas, vapor, or in high temperature and humidity environments.
  • When handling test probes and crocodile clips, keep fingers behind the physical guard.
  • Examine test leads before use. If insulation is deteriorated (even partially), replace them with proper functional test leads.
  • Connect the common test lead before the live test lead, and remove the live test lead before the common test lead.
  • Before measuring current, ensure the instrument's fuses are available and disconnect the power supply to the circuit being tested.
  • Remove batteries if the device is not used for an extended period or stored above 45°C to prevent damage from battery leakage.
