Product Overview
The Beghelli Lungalargaluce Extreme LED AT Opticom is a high-performance LED lighting fixture designed for use in potentially explosive atmospheres (ATEX zones). It features the Opticom function for advanced control and monitoring.
Installation Guidelines
General Information:
- The fixture is rated for ATEX environments, specifically Zone 2 (Gas) and Zone 22 (Dust).
- Installation must be performed by qualified personnel in accordance with standards EN60079-17 and EN60079-14.
- Ensure the correct ATEX-certified cable gland is used for ATEX environments.
- The operating temperature range is 0°C to 40°C.
- Do not open the fixture when it is energized.
- Clean the exterior with a damp cloth to prevent electrostatic discharge. Disconnect from mains before cleaning or maintenance.
- For ATEX classified areas, tighten the head fixing screw with a torque of 0.6Nm.
- The device is not equipped with a terminal for equipotential connection.
Lens Options:
The fixture is available with different lenses for various beam patterns and coverage distances:
- Lente lungaluce 7m (A): For installation at 6m on the work surface.
- Lente largaluce 7m (di serie): For installation at 6m on the work surface.
- Lente altorischio (B): For installation at 6m on the work surface.
- Lente lungaluce 3m (C): For installation at 2m on the work surface.
- Lente largaluce 3m (D): For installation at 2m on the work surface.
Wiring and Connections:
Refer to the diagrams for specific wiring instructions. Ensure correct connection of power (230V) and any optional modules.
Optional Modules:
The fixture can be equipped with LG, LG FM, and DALI modules (codes 15036, 15047, 15038). Use the respective module and consult its manual for activation and functions.
Opticom Function Activation
To activate the Opticom function:
- Remove the jumper (label) from the circuit to enable Opticom functions.
- Download and open the 'Opticom technology' app from the App Store or Google Play.
- Log in with your personal user and password (register as a new user on first use).
- Follow the instructions in the App tutorial for programming the lamp.
Important Notes for Opticom:
- Position the lamp for optimal Opticom coverage, considering light levels and distance.
- Stick the identification labels as instructed: a small label on the plant drawing and medium/large labels on the luminaire where the radio device is mounted, ensuring visibility.
- Install the radio circuit away from surfaces that may cause radio interference (e.g., metal surfaces).
LED Status Indicators
The LED indicators provide information about the fixture's status:
- Steady Red: Opticom not working (battery disconnected or LED module disconnected).
- Steady Orange: Opticom enabled, but configuration is not complete, or lock code is not inserted.
- Flashing Orange: Opticom communication is active (approx. 3-minute window).
- Steady Green: Battery is charged.
- Flashing Green: Battery is charging.
- Single Red Flash: Battery or autonomy error.
ATEX Classification and Applications
General Classification:
- Product Group II (Installable only above ground).
- Gas Environments (Zone 2): Category 3G, Protection Method Ex nA (non-sparking equipment), Gas Group IIB, Temperature Class T4 (135°C).
- Dust Environments (Zone 22): Category 3D, Protection Method Ex tc (electrical equipment protected by casing), Security Level IIIC (IP6x), Temperature Class T80 (80°C).

Periodic Automatic Tests
- Functional Test (30 sec): Every 28 days.
- Autonomy Test (1h): Every 26 weeks.
- Even-numbered lamps perform the autonomy test one week after odd-numbered lamps.
