Product Configuration
The Brookstone WiFi Camera features several key components:
- Top: SD Card slot, Reset button, IR cut sensor.
- Bottom: USB port (DC 5V input).

Mounting Instructions
- Use the included wall anchors and screws to attach the mounting plate to the wall.
- Screw the screw nut into the bottom of the camera.
- Slide the camera onto the mounting plate with the screw nut. Tighten the screw nut if the camera feels loose on the mounting plate.
Download App
To control the camera, download the "Brookstone Smart" app:
- Android: Download "Brookstone Smart" app from Google Play.
- iPhone: Download "Brookstone Smart" app from the App Store.
The app icon features the "Brookstone SMART" logo.
Registration and Login
- Run the “Brookstone Smart" app from your smartphone.
- Register and login.

Add Device
- Plug the Wi-Fi Camera into a wall outlet. After approximately 30 seconds, the camera will move around. After another 15 seconds, it will make a chiming sound, indicating it is ready for setup.
- Ensure your phone is connected to your Wi-Fi network and that it is a 2.4GHz network.
- Press the (+) symbol in the top right corner of the app and select "Smart Camera" from the list of devices to add.
- Press the "next step" button in the app.
- Confirm your phone is connected to the Wi-Fi network the device will connect to. Enter your Wi-Fi network password.
- Follow the app's directions and hold the QR code displayed on your screen in front of the camera's view (15 to 20 cm away).
- The connecting process will begin. Do not turn off the Wi-Fi Camera or phone during connection. Wait for the process to complete.
- Once the device is successfully added, name the device as desired in the app. The Wi-Fi Camera is now ready for use.

Push Notifications
- Turn on/off notifications for all connected devices by clicking the "Me" button at the bottom right of the app screen.
- Click on the "Settings" button from the "Me" section to manage all notifications.

Remove a Device
- From the app's home screen, select the device you wish to remove.
- Click the edit symbol (pencil icon) in the top right corner of the screen.
- Click the "Remove Device" button at the bottom of the screen.

App Functions
Live Video
To view live video, click on the device under "All devices" in the app. Your live video feed will appear at the top. Tilt your phone sideways or use the full screen button in the bottom right corner of the live video to view footage in full screen.

Video Recording
To start recording video, press the "record" button on the main camera screen. Press it again to stop recording. To view recordings, scroll down on the main camera page and press the "Photo Album" button. All video recordings and photos taken will be stored in the photo album. To view all footage recorded by your camera, press "Playback". Optional cloud storage can be purchased by clicking "Cloud Storage" if a Micro SD card is not inserted.

Installing a Micro SD Card
Insert a Micro SD Card into the slot on top of the camera. Ensure it clicks into place. To remove, press down slightly until it pops out. The camera supports Micro SD Cards up to 128 GB.
After installation, format the Micro SD Card. Go to the camera settings by clicking the icon in the top right corner of the camera screen, then select "Storage Settings," and finally "Format."

Setting up the Micro SD Card
Once formatted, the Micro SD Card is ready for recording. In "Storage Settings," enable "Local Recording" for the camera to record video to the SD Card. Select a "Recording Mode":
- Event Recording: Camera records only when motion is detected. Ensure motion detection is enabled.
- Non-Stop: Camera records 24 hours a day until the SD Card is full. When full, it automatically overwrites the oldest video with new recordings.

Taking a Photo
To take a photo, press "screenshot" in the app. The photo will be saved to your phone's photos and video section.

Infrared Night Vision
Infrared night vision is automatically controlled by the camera. It activates when the surrounding area becomes too dark and deactivates when the area is bright again.
Two Way Audio
To activate two-way audio, press the "speak" button. When the button is blue, your voice will be transmitted through the camera's speaker. Simultaneously, you can hear sounds from the live video feed on your phone.

Motion Detection
The camera uses infrared sensors to detect movement within its detection area. Push notifications will be sent to your phone upon motion detection.
To control motion detection, press the camera setting button at the top right or the "alarm" button at the bottom right of the main camera page. From there, select "motion detection" to turn it on/off and adjust sensitivity. This can also be accessed directly from the "alarm" button on the main camera page.

Remotely Controlling the Camera Lens
To remotely control the camera's pan and tilt movement, press the "Direction" button on the main camera screen. You can also control movement by turning your phone sideways and dragging your finger in any direction on the screen.

Hub Controls (Sound, Video Quality, Signal Strength)
Control features from the live video feed:
- Volume Button: Mutes and unmutes the live feed.
- Video Quality Button: Switches between standard and high definition video.
- Signal Strength: Displayed in the top right corner of the camera view.

Sharing the Device
To share camera access with another Brookstone Smart account user:
- Press the camera settings button at the top right of the main camera screen.
- Select "Share Device."
- On the next page, press "Add Sharing" at the bottom.
- Enter the email associated with the recipient's Brookstone Smart account.
The recipient will receive a notification to accept, granting them access to view your camera through their Brookstone Smart app.

Connecting to a New Network
How to change the WiFi Network of the camera
If you need to change the Wi-Fi network the device is connected to, first delete the device from the Brookstone Smart App. Then, restart the setup process as if adding a new device, ensuring your phone is connected to the new Wi-Fi network you intend to connect the camera to. The device will then remember the new Wi-Fi Network.
Once successfully connected to a Wi-Fi Network, the device will remember it even if unplugged. You can move the camera to a different part of your home; after plugging it in, it will automatically reconnect to the Wi-Fi.
