Assembly Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Lamp Head Base
Take the lamp head component (labeled '1'). Remove the small rectangular protective cover by unscrewing two small screws (2x).
[Diagram: Lamp head component with a small cover secured by two screws. Arrows indicate unscrewing.]Step 2: Attach the Lamp Arm to the Base
Take the base component, which includes the clamp mechanism (labeled '1' on page 3). Take the lamp arm component (labeled '2'). Insert the arm into the designated slot on the base. Secure it using three M6 screws (3x, labeled '3') and the provided 3mm Allen key (labeled '5'). Ensure the screws are tightened securely.

Use the clamp mechanism on the base to attach the lamp to a desk or table edge. Adjust the clamp screw to secure it firmly. The recommended torque for the clamp screw is a maximum of 5 Nm (≤ 5Nm). A wrench (labeled '7') is provided for tightening if necessary, or hand-tighten.
[Diagram: Clamp being attached to a surface and tightened. A torque specification of ≤ 5Nm is indicated.]Step 6: Adjust Clamp Height
The clamp mechanism allows for adjustment to fit different table thicknesses. Refer to diagrams A and B on page 13 for specific adjustment configurations. A 4mm Allen key (labeled '6') may be used for certain adjustments.

Power and Dimming Control
The lamp is powered via a CEE 7/7 plug. The rotary switch located on the lamp arm controls power and dimming. Turn the switch clockwise to increase brightness to its maximum setting. Turn counter-clockwise to decrease brightness (dimming). Turn the switch fully counter-clockwise to switch the lamp OFF.
[Diagram: Rotary dial with labels "AN / AUS ON / OFF", "dimmen / dim", and "maximal / maximum". An arrow indicates rotation for dimming and turning off.]Sensor Modes (Dip Switch Configuration)
The MAULjuvis 825 87 features integrated motion and daylight sensors. These sensors can be configured using a dip switch located on the lamp arm (labeled '2' on page 17). The dip switch has four positions: 0, 1, 2, and 3.
Dip Switch Settings:
Position | Motion Sensor | Daylight Sensor |
---|---|---|
0 | AUS / OFF | AUS / OFF |
1 | AN / ON | AUS / OFF |
2 | AN / ON | AN / ON |
3 | AUS / OFF | AN / ON |
Motion Sensor Functionality
When the motion sensor is activated (e.g., dip switch positions 1 or 2), it detects presence. The light turns on when motion is detected. After a period of inactivity, the light can automatically dim to 30% or turn off. The default inactivity timer is 30 minutes.
[Diagram: Person at a desk. Sequence shows light turning on with motion, dimming to 30% after 30 minutes of inactivity, and finally turning off. The sensor's detection range is illustrated as up to 85 degrees, with a maximum coverage distance of 3500 mm and a recommended mounting height of 1960 mm.]Daylight Sensor Functionality
When the daylight sensor is activated (e.g., dip switch positions 2 or 3), it adjusts the lamp's brightness based on the ambient light levels in the room. The lamp will turn on or increase its brightness when ambient light is low and will dim or turn off when sufficient natural light is present.
[Diagram: Illustrates a window with varying sunlight levels and the lamp automatically adjusting its brightness accordingly.]Light Sensor Calibration
To calibrate the light sensor: First, connect the mains plug to a power outlet. Then, select an operating mode that activates the light sensor (dip switch positions 2 or 3). The lamp can then be switched on using the rotary switch. The light sensor will automatically calibrate itself to the room's ambient light conditions within a few minutes, adapting the luminaire's output to the general illumination level.
