Sensor and Dimming Functions
The MAULjuvis 825 86 features a motion sensor and a daylight sensor, controlled via a rotary switch and an internal dip switch.
Dip Switch Settings
The dip switch, located internally, allows configuration of the motion and daylight sensors. The table below outlines the functions:
Dip Switch Position | Motion Sensor | Daylight Sensor |
---|---|---|
0 | OFF | OFF |
1 | ON (30 min delay) | OFF |
2 | ON (30 min delay) | ON |
3 | OFF | ON |
Sensor Operation
Motion Sensor (A)
When activated (e.g., Position 1 or 2), the light turns on when motion is detected. After a period of inactivity (e.g., 30 minutes), the light may dim or turn off. The sensor has a detection angle of up to 85° and a range of up to 3500 mm (3.5 meters).
Daylight Sensor (B)
When activated (e.g., Position 2 or 3), the light adjusts its brightness based on ambient light levels. In low light conditions, the light will turn on or increase brightness. In sufficient daylight, the light will turn off or dim.
Light Sensor Calibration
After connecting the power and selecting a sensor mode (dip switch positions 2 or 3), the luminaire can be switched on using the rotary switch. The light sensor will automatically calibrate to the room's ambient lighting conditions within a few minutes before adapting its output.
Dimming Function
The rotary switch on the lamp allows for manual control, including turning the light ON/OFF and adjusting the brightness (dimming).
