Assembly Instructions

IMPORTANT! To ensure safe operation, follow these instructions carefully. Keep for future reference. Inspect product for damaged hardware, loose joints, missing parts, or sharp edges before assembly and each use. NEVER use if parts are missing or broken. Adult assembly is required.

Initial Steps: Remove stroller from box. Install front wheel, rear wheels, fender, and parent tray prior to use.

Front Wheel Installation

  1. Release Lever: Unlock the release lever. Unfold stroller frame by pulling backward on the handle. Lean the stroller backward so it rests on the handle and rear axle frame, with front wheel forks pointing upward.
  2. Attach Front Wheel: Slide the front wheel onto the front forks.
  3. Retainer Plate: Slide the retainer plate onto the front wheel. Ensure the raised tab points toward the fork and inserts into the fork slot. Align the tab with the slot before tightening the wheel.
  4. Axel Nuts: With the wheel in position, install the axel nuts and tighten with a wrench until significant resistance is felt and the wheel is held tightly.
  5. Testing Wheel Security: Lift the front of the stroller and pull down on the wheel to ensure it is secure. The wheel must not come off.
  6. Adjusting for Wobble: If the front wheel wobbles excessively, adjust the front wheel housing nut located under the footrest. Reverse steps to remove the footrest. Use a standard wrench to tighten the nut. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN, as this can damage the wheel housing.

Fender Attachment

  1. Examine the bottom of the front fender; it has two 1/4 inch diameter plastic tubes protruding.
  2. Align these tubes with the holes in the front frame assembly.
  3. Line up the front fender and press it onto the front frame assembly.
  4. Insert two screws through the underside of the front frame assembly into the fender's plastic tubes. Tighten screws until snug. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN.

Rear Wheel Attachment

  1. Lean the stroller forward to rest on the front wheel.
  2. Align the rear wheel's axle into the bushing on the stroller frame.
  3. Push the wheel into the bushing until it clicks. Repeat for the other wheel.
  4. Check that each wheel is securely in place by pulling on it.
  5. WARNING: NEVER use the stroller if wheels are not locked into place. Contact customer service immediately if wheels are not secure.

Parent Tray Attachment

  1. Line up the parent tray slots with the corresponding slots on the stroller frame.
  2. Slide the tray down until it locks into place. Check that the parent tray is secure before use.
  3. WARNING: Do not place hot liquids or more than 3 pounds (1.36 kg) in the parent tray. Serious burns or unstable conditions could result.

Canopy Attachment

  1. To install the canopy, attach the hook and loop fasteners on the canopy flaps and frame sides near the handle.
  2. To Open Canopy: Push forward on the front edge of the canopy while holding the rear in place.
  3. To Fold Canopy: Pull backward on the front edge.

Child Tray Attachment

  1. To attach the child tray, push it downward onto each side of the front armrests until both sides snap into place. Check that the tray is securely latched.
  2. WARNING: The child's tray is not a restraint device; always secure your child with the seat belt. DO NOT lift the stroller by the child's tray. Use care when attaching the tray with a child in the stroller. Do not place hot liquids or more than 3 pounds (1.36 kg) in the child tray, as this could cause serious burns or instability.
  3. Accessing Child Seat: Locate the release lever on the underside of the child tray. Pull one side and lift upward. Either side will lift and rotate out of the way. Pull both simultaneously and lift to remove the tray.
  4. Note: To rotate the tray for car seat latching, refer to Step 13.

Infant Car Seat Installation

  1. WARNING: Never jog or run with your newborn in the car seat position. Use for strolling only.
  2. To attach an infant car seat, rotate the child tray to the vertical position by pressing the buttons on both sides.
  3. Place the stroller seat slightly towards the upright position, parallel to the stroller frame, for correct car seat angle and support (refer to Step 24).
  4. Position the infant car seat facing the rear of the stroller, ensuring the seat shell goes into the child tray and latches securely.

Infant Car Seat Removal

  1. Remove the short clips.
  2. Squeeze the release handle at the foot-end of the seat and carefully lift upward on the seat.

Basket Installation

  1. The rear basket tube must be installed before use.
  2. Insert the female end of the rear basket tube into the male ends on the basket frame until it locks into place.

MP3 Speaker

MP3 speakers plug into the parent tray and are compatible with most MP3 players and smartphones. Connect the male end of the speaker wire to your MP3 player to listen to music while jogging.

Multi-Position Handle

To adjust the handle, press the buttons to move it up or down to a comfortable position.

Safety Features & Usage

Brakes

WARNING: Always check with your pediatrician for a recommended starting age/weight for your baby in an all-terrain stroller.

WARNING: Always set brakes when the stroller is not being pushed to prevent it from rolling away. NEVER leave the stroller unattended on a hill or incline.

Engaging Brakes: Apply light downward pressure to the brake lever on each rear wheel. Slight forward or rearward movement may be needed to align brake teeth with the wheel brake cluster. Check that the stroller will not move and both brakes are applied. To release, gently lift the brake lever.

Front Wheel Lock

WARNING: Always lock the front swivel wheel in a STRAIGHT position before placing or removing your child from the jogger.

FALL HAZARD: To prevent tip-overs when running, jogging, or walking fast, lock the front wheel from swiveling.

The swivel jogger has a front wheel locking device that operates vertically to lock and unlock the wheel.

Securing the Child

WARNING: Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out. Always use the safety harness.

STRANGULATION HAZARD: Children can strangle in loose straps. Never leave a child in the seat when straps are loose or undone.

Harness Adjustment (5-Point Harness):

  • Shoulder straps have 3 attachment positions. Select the position that places the shoulder strap level with, or below, the top of the child's shoulder.
  • Carefully place the child in the seat. Bring the safety harness around the child's waist and over the shoulders. Place the crotch strap between the child's legs.
  • Insert the male ends of the shoulder/waist belts into the buckle on the crotch strap.
  • Tighten the harness snugly around the child's waist and over their shoulders.

Releasing the Child

To release, push the Red Button on the Center Clasp; the two Harness Buckles will pop free. Apply pressure to both sides of each male clip until released. This requires moderate effort to prevent accidental release by the child.

Seatback Positioning

The seat has multiple recline positions controlled by cords and an adjuster behind the seat.

  • To Recline: Squeeze the tabs on the adjuster and pull down while holding the strap loop.
  • To Place Upright: Press upward on the adjuster with one hand while pulling the strap by the loop. The adjuster locks automatically.
  • The upright position should only be used for children at least 6 months old.
  • Always readjust the safety harness, including shoulder belts, when repositioning the seatback.

Jogging with Your Stroller

When jogging, use the following safety features:

  • LOCK THE FRONT SWIVEL WHEELS IN STRAIGHT POSITION.
  • Use the tether strap: This strap is intended to maintain control of the stroller in case of a fall while running. Remove it from the handle and attach it to your wrist.

Maintenance and Care

Tires

The jogging stroller features bicycle tires for extended wear and ease of pushing. Like bicycle tires, they can get flat.

  • Flat Tire Repair: Use a standard bicycle tire repair kit or take the tire to a bicycle shop.
  • Inner Tubes: Consider purchasing thorn-proof inner tubes for the jogging stroller, available at bicycle stores or national retail stores. The correct tire size is shown on the sidewall.

Tire Pressure

Check pressure before use. DO NOT INFLATE above the maximum recommended pressure on the tire sidewall, as over-inflation can cause a blowout and serious injury.

NOTE: Use only a hand pump. DO NOT USE an air compressor.

Tire Pump (if equipped): Connect the flexible air hose to the pump, thread the brass fitting, and attach the air nozzle to the rim's valve stem. Hold the pump body, pull back on the handle, then press down to inflate.

Folding and Unfolding

WARNING: Be careful when folding and unfolding to prevent finger entrapment.

CAUTION: Keep children away while unfolding.

To Fold Stroller:

  1. Engage rear wheel locks and unlock the front wheel.
  2. Close the canopy.
  3. Place the seat in the furthest recline position.
  4. Slide the thumb trigger to the left and squeeze the pull trigger while pushing forward on the handle.
  5. Release the handle and push forward until the stroller is folded. Lock the release lever to secure it.

To Unfold Stroller:

  1. Unlock the release lever.
  2. Unfold the stroller frame by pulling backward on the handle.

Wheel Adjustment

Three-wheel vehicles can deviate from a straight line due to factors like uneven tire pressure, improper installation, road conditions, or manufacturing tolerances. If your stroller pulls significantly to the left or right on flat terrain, follow instructions on page 10 to realign the front wheel.
