This gateway is compatible with MiBoxer 2.4GHz RF products. It communicates with smartphones via Wi-Fi network, enabling remote control for connected lights through the “Tuya Smart” or “MiBoxer” App. It supports third-party voice control, catering to various smart home applications.

Physical Description: The device is a square-shaped gateway, approximately 64.5mm in width and length, with a height of 15mm. It features two indicator lights labeled "SYS" and "LINK", and a Type-C power input port.

Smartphone app control instruction

Download and install "Tuya Smart" APP

Search for "Tuya Smart" in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Alternatively, scan the provided QR code. Please create an account if using the app for the first time.

Pairing with Network

1. Connect the gateway to a power source and ensure your smartphone is connected to Wi-Fi.

2. Standby for network pairing: Confirm the “SYS” indicator is flashing quickly. If it is not, long-press the “SET” button for 3 seconds.

3. In the Tuya Smart APP, click the "+" icon to add a device.

4. Select the "Lighting" category.

5. Find and select "Light Source (BLE+Wi-Fi)".

6. Follow the on-screen instructions within the app to complete the setup.

Copy Remote

If you have multiple lamps already linked to a remote, the gateway provides two methods for control:

Method 1: Follow the standard linking instructions to connect the gateway to your lamp. (Disadvantage: time-consuming)

Method 2: Utilize the "Copy remote" function, which allows immediate control of lamps after the copying process is complete. (Advantage: time-saving)

How to copy remote?

1. In the app, click "Set".
2. Select "Copy remote".
3. Click "Copy".
4. Follow the remaining App instructions to finish.

Clean up

To remove a copied remote association, you may need to divide the remote and gateway configurations.

Attention: The gateway can only store one remote configuration at a time. Copying a new remote will overwrite the previous one.

How to select zones?

1. From the main device screen, click on the connected gateway (e.g., "2.4G Gateway").

2. Explanation of zone selection:

Short press to select zones (supports Master zone and 1-16 group zones).

Short press to select zones (supports Master zone and 1-100 group zones). Attention: "0" indicates the master group.

How to rename group zones?

Attention: Renaming is only supported for the master zone and zones 1 through 16.

1. Long-press the "Choose zone" option.
2. Select the zones you wish to rename (e.g., ALL).
3. Type the new desired name for the zone.
4. Click "Save" to confirm.

Link/Unlink instruction

The lamp must be linked with the gateway. One zone can control countless MiBoxer 2.4G lamps.

Link:

1. Select the desired group zones.
2. Power off the lamps, then power them on again after 10 seconds (refer to the lamp's instruction manual).
3. With the lamp powered on, short-press the "Link" button once.
4. Linking is confirmed when the light flashes 3 times slowly.

Unlink:

1. Select the desired group zones.
2. Power off the lamps, then power them on again after 10 seconds (refer to the lamp's instruction manual).
3. With the lamp powered on, short-press the "Unlink" button once.
4. Unlinking is confirmed when the light flashes 10 times quickly.

Share device in home

1. Click the edit icon [✏️].

2. Click "Share Device" and follow the instructions provided on the APP.

Alexa voice control instruction

Please add the device into the Tuya Smart App (refer to page 4 for details) before proceeding with these steps.

1. Open the Alexa App.
2. Click "More" on the bottom right corner.
3. Click "Skills & Games".
4. Click the search icon [?] on the top right corner.
5. Type "Smart life" and search.
6. Click the "Smart Life" skill, follow the instructions to finish configuration, and start voice control.

Alexa voice group control

Use voice commands to switch zones first, then control lamps (turn on/off, adjust brightness, color temperature, and color).

Example Commands:

• "Alexa, set the <device name> group to 7."
• "Alexa, decrease the group on the <device name> by 3."
• "Alexa, what's the <device name> group?"
• "Alexa, set the group on the <device name> to (0-100)".

Google Home voice control instruction

Please add the device into the Tuya Smart App (refer to page 4 for details) before proceeding with these steps.

1. Open the Google Home App.
2. Click the "+" icon on the top left corner.
3. Click "Set up device".
4. Click "Works with Google".
5. Click the search icon [?] on the top right corner.
6. Type "Smart life" and search.
7. Click the "Smart Life" skill, follow the instructions to finish configuration and start voice control.

Attention: Google Home does not support group control.

Attention

1. Please stay away from magnetic areas, as this may affect the signal.

2. Do not install the device in places exposed to strong sunshine, high temperatures, or humidity. The operating temperature range is -10~40°C.
