Connection Diagrams
SPI Mode:
Diagram shows the controller with input terminals (V+, V-, GND) and output terminals (SPI). It connects to an SPI LED strip, supporting single color, CCT, RGB, RGBW, and RGBCCT types.
DMX Mode:
Diagram shows the controller with input terminals (V+, V-, GND) and output terminals (DMX A, DMX B). It connects to a DMX LED strip.
Note: The switch output mode requires configuration via the app.
Application Diagram: Illustrates the system architecture: Smartphone (with Tuya App) connects wirelessly to a Router, which then connects to the Controller. Voice assistants like Alexa or Google can also interact via the App.
Compatible Remotes (sold separately):
- C9 SPI Remote
- B9 SPI Panel Remote
Linking and Unlinking
Linking (Pairing):
- Turn the device off for 10 seconds, then back on, OR short press the "SET" button.
- Quickly press the "ON" button three times within 3 seconds.
- A green blinking light indicates successful code pairing.
If the light does not blink, the connection failed. Repeat the steps. Note: Re-pairing is not possible if already paired via remote.
Unlinking (Unpairing):
- Turn the device off for 10 seconds, then back on, OR short press the "SET" button.
- Quickly press the "ON" button five times within 3 seconds.
- A red blinking light indicates successful code deletion.
If the light does not blink, the disconnection failed. Repeat the steps. Note: Unlinking is not necessary if the device was never paired.
Smartphone App Control (Tuya Smart)
Pairing Network:
- Download and install the "TUYA SMART" app from your app store or by scanning the QR code. Register an account if it's your first use.
- Connect the controller to power. Ensure the indicator blinks rapidly (twice per second). To correct blinking: long press the SET button or power cycle the controller six times.
- Connect your smartphone to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
- Open the app, tap "+ Add Device", select "Lighting", then "Light Source (BLE + Wi-Fi)". Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
App Interface: The app provides control over various settings including color selection (color wheel, white tones, RGB colors), brightness, speed, dynamic mode patterns, music synchronization, timers, and power-on animations.
Function Instructions
Static Mode: Allows adjustment and saving of static lighting effects.
Dynamic Mode: Offers 28 white tones and 80 RGB colors. Includes 8 scene modes. Users can adjust color, brightness, width, and speed for all dynamic modes.
Music Mode: Features 8 music modes that synchronize lighting with audio input from the device's internal microphone or a connected smartphone's microphone.
App Settings
Communication Protocol: Via the app, select the communication protocol: SPI (800kbps) or DMX (250kbps, 500kbps, 750kbps).
LED Strip Type: Configure the output for different LED strip types: Single Color, CCT, RGB, RGBW, RGB+CCT.
Pixel Points: Set the number of controllable pixels for the LED strip (e.g., 1024, 60) using a slider interface.
Color Calibration: Correct LED strip colors using the app. This involves selecting the current color and adjusting RGB values for accurate representation.
Boot Animation: Customize the power-on animation by setting the initial color, color temperature, speed, and brightness.
Timer Function: Set up scheduled events to turn the device on or off at specific times or intervals.
DND Mode (ON/OFF): Enable the "Do Not Disturb" mode, which is useful for power saving, particularly during power outages.
Voice Control
Alexa Voice Control: To use Alexa, first add the device to the "Tuya Smart" app. Then, open the Alexa app, navigate to "Skills & Games", search for "Smart Life", enable the skill, and follow the on-screen instructions to link your account and start voice control.
Google Home Voice Control: To use Google Home, first add the device to the "Tuya Smart" app. Then, open the Google Home app, tap "+", select "Set up device", choose "Works with Google", search for "Smart Life", and follow the on-screen instructions to link your account and start voice control.
Attention
- Turn off the power supply before installation.
- Ensure the input voltage matches the device requirements.
