JABLOTRON JA-110P PET Bus PIR Motion Detector with Basic Pet Immunity

Product Overview

The JA-110P PET is a bus device within the JABLOTRON system, designed for detecting human movement inside buildings. It features a modified detection pattern and basic immunity to domestic animals, effectively ignoring movements of small animals on the floor (up to approximately 25 kg and 40 cm in height). The detector operates with a pulse reaction and integrates into the system. Installation must be performed by a qualified technician with a valid certificate from an authorized distributor.

The detector's pet immunity is limited to floor-level movements. It is not suitable for protecting areas where animals might move freely at higher elevations.

Installation

The detector can be mounted on a wall or in a room corner. Ensure the detection field does not include objects with rapidly changing temperatures (e.g., heaters, gas appliances) or moving objects (e.g., curtains near radiators, robot vacuum cleaners). While resistant to false alarms, avoid locations with intense air circulation (near fans, air conditioning, vents, or poorly sealed doors). Obstructions should not be present in the detector's field of view.

Recommended installation height is 2 meters, with a maximum of 2.2 meters.

Installation Steps:

1. Open the detector cover by pressing the cover tab (5). Avoid touching the internal PIR sensor (11) to prevent damage.
2. Remove the PCB, which is held by a tab (3).
3. Drill holes for screws and the cable in the plastic base. The recommended installation height is 2 meters from the floor.
4. Insert the bus cable and fix the plastic base to the wall using screws (vertically, with the cover tab facing downwards).
5. Important: Always power down the system before connecting the detector to the bus.
6. Reinsert the printed circuit board and connect the cables to the terminals (8).

System Registration:

Follow the control panel's installation manual for system integration.

Basic Registration:

• Open the F-Link software and select an unused position in the Devices tab. Click "Enroll" to enter registration mode.
• Select "Scan/add new bus devices," choose the detector, and double-click to confirm. The yellow LED will turn off.
• Close the detector cover and test its operation.

Notes:

• The detector can also be registered by entering its production code (found on sticker (9) on the PCB) into F-Link. Enter all numbers below the barcode (e.g., 1400-00-0000-0001).
• The detector can be enrolled by pressing the tamper sensor cover (10).
• To comply with EN 50131-3, secure the cover tab (5) with the provided screw.

Setting Detector Properties

In F-Link, navigate to the Devices tab. Click "Internal settings" for the detector's position to open a dialog for configuration. Options include disabling the red movement indication LED.

Detector Test

In Service Mode, the red LED on the detector indicates movement. Individual detector activations can be monitored in the F-Link software's Diagnostics tab.

Detection Characteristics

The detector is equipped with a standard lens covering 90° / 12 m. The diagram illustrates detection zones:

• Standard Detection: The grey area of the diagram shows standard detection coverage.
• Pet Immunity: The white area of the diagram shows the detection zone where the detector ignores movements of small animals (up to approximately 25 kg and 40 cm in height).
