Safety First: Preventing Tip-Over

Serious or fatal crushing injuries can occur if furniture tips over. To prevent this, the PLATSA furniture must be secured to the wall using the provided wall attachment devices. Ensure you use screws and plugs suitable for your specific wall type. If you are uncertain, seek professional advice. Always read and follow each step of the instructions carefully.

Assembly Steps
Step 1: Panel Joining
Connect the main furniture panels. A close-up illustration shows a dowel inserted into one panel and a screw being driven into another. It highlights correct assembly with a checkmark [✔️] and incorrect assembly with a cross [❌].
Step 2: Attaching Side Panels
Attach the side panels to the base and top panels of the unit.
Step 3: Securing Connections
Use a tool to firmly secure the joined panels.
Step 4: Installing Back Panel
Slide the back panel into the grooves provided on the rear of the assembled frame.
Step 5: Initial Fastening
Insert 8x dowels (151705) and 8x screws (151706) to connect the main structural panels.
Step 6: Attaching Rear Connectors
Attach 2x spring-loaded connectors (150688) to the back of the unit. An informational icon [ⓘ] points to related 'LÄTTHET' guides.
Step 7: Attaching Feet
Place the assembled unit upright on its 2x cylindrical feet (150689).
Step 8: Top Component Attachment
Secure a bracket or connector to the top of the unit.
Step 9: Unit Adjustment
An informational icon [ⓘ] references 'LÄTTHET' guides. Arrows indicate that vertical adjustment or leveling is possible.
Step 10: Final Securing Mechanism
Insert a screw and cover it with a cap (10005905 or 126916). A 'CLICK!' sound [click sound] indicates the component is securely fastened.
Step 11: Connecting Multiple Units Side-by-Side
To join PLATSA units horizontally, use 2x metal brackets (10090922) and screws (146113) per connection. A numbered guide (1-14) shows the precise locations for bracket attachment.
Step 12: Stacking Units Vertically
Units can be stacked. A maximum height of 300 cm (118 7/64") is indicated. Use 4x long screws (108736) and 4x plastic inserts (152059) to secure stacked units.

Always secure furniture to the wall to prevent tip-over accidents. Ensure you use wall fasteners appropriate for your wall type. If unsure, consult a professional.
