Assembly Instructions
Follow these steps to assemble your BROR shelving unit. Ensure all parts are present before starting.
Step 1: Assemble the Frame Sides
Take two long frame pieces (part 192249 / 10042683). Attach two shelf support brackets (part 192250 / 10042686) to the bottom of each frame piece using screws (part 190230 / 10044755). This forms the base of the side frames.
Visual Description: Two long vertical metal pieces are shown. Two L-shaped brackets are attached to the bottom of each vertical piece, pointing inwards, forming a base.
Step 2: Connect Frame Sides
Take the assembled side frames. Connect them using the horizontal frame pieces (part 192369). Insert the connectors into the designated slots and secure them. Use 8x screws (part 190230 / 10044755) and 8x nuts (part 190231 / 10044716) to attach the horizontal pieces to the side frames. A hammer [✎] may be used to gently tap the connectors into place.
Visual Description: Two side frames are stood upright. Horizontal bars are being inserted into slots on the side frames. Screws and nuts are shown being used to secure these connections.
Step 3: Add Shelves
Place the shelves onto the support brackets. The shelves are designed to slot into place. You may hear a 'click' [🔍] when they are properly seated.
Visual Description: Shelves are shown being lowered onto the horizontal supports. Arrows indicate placement. A close-up shows a shelf edge clicking into a bracket.
Step 4: Attach Cross Braces
Locate the cross brace pieces. Assemble them into an 'X' shape and attach them to the back of the unit using the provided screws and nuts. This provides stability.
Visual Description: Two long metal strips are crossed to form an 'X' shape. They are then attached to the back of the shelving unit using screws and nuts.
Step 5: Final Assembly Check
Ensure all shelves are securely in place and all connections are tightened. The unit is now ready for use.
Visual Description: A complete shelving unit is shown with all shelves in place.
Step 6: Wall Attachment (Crucial Safety Step)
To prevent tip-over, the unit MUST be secured to the wall using the provided wall attachment hardware. Follow the specific instructions for your wall type. Use appropriate screws and wall plugs (not included).
Visual Description: Two diagrams show the unit being attached to a wall. One shows the unit being placed against a wall, and the other shows the wall attachment hardware being used to secure it. Dimensions for two possible configurations are shown: 85 cm (33.5") and 65 cm (25.5").
Step 7: Weight Distribution
Distribute weight evenly across the shelves. Do not overload shelves. The diagram shows a correctly loaded unit with weight distributed on multiple shelves, and an incorrectly loaded unit with weight concentrated on the top shelf, marked with a cross [✖].
Visual Description: Two shelving units are depicted. The left one shows weights distributed evenly across all shelves. The right one shows weights concentrated on the top shelf, with a red cross over it, indicating an unsafe configuration.
