1.0 Product Description

The TOZO NC9 earbuds feature a compact design with various components:

MFB Touch Panel: Multi-function button for controls.
Medial (Ear Canal) Noise Cancelling Microphone: Microphone located inside the ear canal for noise cancellation.
Call Microphone: Microphone for voice calls.
Outside Noise Cancelling Microphone: Microphone located on the exterior for ambient noise cancellation.
Indicator Lights: LEDs on earbuds and charging case to show status (e.g., pairing, charging).
Charging Case: Compact case for storing and charging earbuds, with indicator lights for its own charge status.

The package includes the earbuds and a charging case. Multiple ear tip sizes are provided for a comfortable fit.

2.0 Wearing Steps

For optimal sound quality and noise cancellation, ensure correct earbud placement:

Step 1: Ensure the sound hole of the earbud is pointing downward. Gently place the earbuds into your ear.
Step 2: Rotate the earbud backward towards the auricle side until it fits snugly and securely.

Incorrect wearing: Ear cap facing up will result in poor fit and performance.

3.0 Operation of Earbuds

3.1 How to Pair

To pair your TOZO NC9 earbuds with a mobile device:

Take both earbuds out of the charging case. They will automatically power on and pair with each other within 10 seconds.
The indicator lights on both earbuds will flash red and blue alternately, indicating they are in pairing mode.
On your mobile phone, search for the Bluetooth device named "TOZO-NC9" and select it to connect.

3.2 Another Way To Turn On/Off

Turn On:

Tap and hold the Touch Control on both earbuds for more than 3 seconds.

Turn Off:

If the earbuds are not playing music, tap the Touch Control button for 5 seconds to turn them off.
The earbuds will automatically turn off after being disconnected for more than 5 minutes.

3.3 Reset

If you experience issues such as only one earbud working or pairing failure, perform a reset:

Delete all "TOZO-NC9" Bluetooth records from your phone and turn off Bluetooth.
Take the earbuds out of the charging case. Press the touch panel on both earbuds for 5 seconds to turn them off.
Press both earbuds for 5 seconds until the blue light goes out. Then, quickly double-tap the panel. The reset is complete once a purple light illuminates.

Note: If your device displays "Connection failed," please delete all [TOZO-NC9] pairing history and attempt to pair again.

4.0 Switch Between Different Modes

Click the left earbud's touch control to switch between Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency modes.

Note: The Active Noise Cancellation function is not available when using a single earbud.

Note: If the electromagnetic interference signal is strong in your area, it may affect the Bluetooth connection, causing the earbuds to be silent or disconnected. Please reconnect or change your location.

4.1 Active Noise Cancellation Mode

Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is a system designed to reduce unwanted background noise. It uses microphones inside and outside the earphone to "listen" to sounds. An ANC chipset then inverts the soundwaves, and a speaker inside the earphone cancels the outside sound by neutralizing soundwaves. This technology effectively reduces ambient noise, similar to adding -2 to a +2 to make zero.

4.2 Transparency Mode

Transparency mode enhances the voice frequency band and improves the perception of surrounding sounds. This allows users to hear what is happening around them without removing their earbuds. When your TOZO NC9 earbuds are worn correctly, both active noise reduction and transparency modes function optimally.

4.3 Active Noise Cancellation Off Mode

Active Noise Cancellation Off Mode is the default mode when ANC or Transparency mode are not active.

6.0 Detailed Function List

Function	Description
Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)	A noise-cancelling system that uses microphones to reduce unwanted background noise by inverting soundwaves.
Turn On	Pick up earbuds from the charging case; they will turn on automatically. Alternatively, tap the Touch Control for 3 seconds.
Turn Off	Manually: Tap the Touch Control for 5 seconds without audio/app playing. Auto: Place earbuds into charging case for 3 seconds, or they turn off automatically after 5 minutes of no connection.
Restore Factory Settings	If issues persist, restore factory settings: 1. Pick up earbuds, hold both touch controls for 5 seconds until red lights turn on to turn off. 2. Hold both touch controls for 5 seconds until blue light turns on and off, then quickly tap each touch control 3 times. 3. Place earbuds into charging case, then take them out to reconnect. Delete "TOZO-NC9" records from your phone and re-search.
Pairing Timeout	If earbuds are not successfully paired within 15 seconds after initial pairing, they will enter mobile phone pairing state.
Phone Pairing	When earbuds are off, tap and hold touch control simultaneously for 5 seconds to enter pairing mode (red/blue light flashes alternately). Search for "TOZO-NC9" on your mobile phone. Alternatively, take 2 headsets from charging base, they power on and connect within 10 seconds, then flash red/blue alternately. Search for "TOZO-NC9".
Over distance for re-connection	If disconnected from phone at long distance, headset automatically reconnects within 8-10 meters if within 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, headset turns off automatically.
Auto Turn Off	Automatically turns off after no connection for more than 5 minutes. If disconnected from phone at long distance, it will automatically turn off after more than 5 minutes (normal mode).

7.0 Function List - Touch Controls

7.1 Left Earbud Controls

Function	Action
Turn On	Pick up from case (automatic) or Tap Touch Control 3 seconds.
Turn Off	Put back in charging case (automatic) or Tap Touch Control 5 seconds (not playing status). Automatically turns off after no connection for more than 5 minutes.
Previous Track	Double-Tap the Left Touch Control twice.
Volume Down	Tap and hold the Touch Control on Left earbud.
Active Noise Cancellation Mode	Tap the Left Touch Control once.
Transparent Mode	Tap the Left Touch Control once.
Active Noise Cancellation Off	Tap the Left Touch Control once.
Hang up Phone Call	Tap and hold the Touch Control for 2 seconds.
Reject Incoming Call	Tap and hold the Touch Control for 2 seconds.
Cancel Phone Call	Tap and hold the Touch Control for 2 seconds (before dialing out or if other party fails to answer).

7.2 Right Earbud Controls

Function	Action
Turn On	Pick up from case (automatic) or Tap Touch Control 3 seconds.
Turn Off	Put back in charging case (automatic) or Tap Touch Control 5 seconds (not playing status). Automatically turns off after no connection for more than 5 minutes.
Play/Pause	Tap the Right Touch Control once (cannot switch to play/pause with left headset).
Next Track	Double-Tap the Right Touch Control twice.
Volume Up	Tap and hold the Touch Control on Right earbud.
Voice Interaction of Siri	In standby mode, quickly tap the Touch Control 3 times to activate Siri.
Primary/Secondary switch automatically	When listening to music, putting either headset back into the charging case will not affect the other headset.
Answer Phone Call	Tap the Touch Control button once.
Hang up Phone Call	Tap and hold the Touch Control for 2 seconds.
Reject Incoming Call	Tap and hold the Touch Control for 2 seconds.
Cancel Phone Call	Tap and hold the Touch Control for 2 seconds.

Special Reminder

Wipe the hardware contacts of the headset and charging box when the headset is not charging.
