This guide provides essential information for assembling, charging, and operating your Minelab X-TERRA PRO metal detector.
Quick Start Guide
Follow these four steps to begin using your X-TERRA PRO metal detector:
- Step 1: Turn On - Press the power button. [?]
- Step 2: Select Search Mode - Choose the appropriate mode for your detecting environment. Icons represent different modes.
- Step 3: Noise Cancel - Initiate noise cancellation for optimal performance. [⚙️]

Search Modes
The X-TERRA PRO offers several search modes tailored to different environments:
Park Mode
[?] Ideal for areas with lots of trash, including common targets.
Field Mode
[?️] Ideal for detecting in historical sites, can find a wide range of target sizes.
Beach Mode
[?] Effectively handles any high salinity ground conditions – dry sand, wet sand, surf, and underwater.
Assembly
Follow these steps to assemble your X-TERRA PRO metal detector:
- Attach the coil to the lower shaft.
- Insert the lower shaft into the middle shaft.
- Attach the control box to the upper shaft.
- Wrap the control box cable around the shaft.
- Adjust the length of the upper shaft.
- Secure the control box onto the shaft.
- Connect the coil to the lower shaft.
- Mount the control box onto the shaft.
- The detector is now fully assembled.
Charging
Charging time: 5 to 6 hours.
Use a high-quality USB charger with specifications of 2A/5V or higher. Using inferior chargers may cause charging malfunctions.
Ensure your USB charger displays the following certification marks: CE, EAC.

Controls and Display Interface
Familiarize yourself with the detector's controls and display:
Display Indicators:
