Installation
Unpack all parts and components carefully. Lay them on a soft surface to avoid damage. Do not lay the motor housing on its side.
Warning: All electrical tasks should only be undertaken after disconnecting electricity by removing fuses or turning off the circuit breaker.
Installation of The Mounting Bracket:
- Screw the hanger bracket onto a firm, flat surface. The structure must withstand ten times the static weight of the fan.
- For wooden joists, use the provided self-tapping screws and washers in the following order: Screw Head, Round Washer, Spring Washer, Mounting Bracket, Ceiling.
- Screw the mounting bracket to the ceiling, ensuring all connections are secure. Loosen the two canopy screws from the mounting bracket.
- Note: Self-tapping screws are for wooden ceilings only. For concrete ceilings, use a drill and expansion screws (not included).
Installation of The Down Rod and Hanger Ball:
- Unscrew the screw on the down rod's hanger ball, loosen the hanger ball, remove the stop pin, and remove the hanger ball from the rod.
- Remove the clevis pin and hairpin clip from the down rod.
- If using a longer down rod, install the hanger ball on it, moving the earth wire. Pass electrical supply leads through the down rod.
- Insert the down rod into the motor housing's hole and align the holes.
- Pass the clevis pin through the aligned holes, being careful not to damage wires.
- Pass the hairpin clip through the clevis pin to secure it.
- Tighten all screws to prevent fan tumbling. Loose screws can cause motor oscillation.
- Install the hanger ball onto the down rod, insert the stop pin, and lift the hanger ball. Ensure all elements are securely fixed.
Hanging The Fan to The Mounting Bracket and Attaching the Blades:
- Lift the fan to the mounting bracket and insert the hanger ball through the opening.
- Align the tab in the mounting bracket with the hanger ball's slot to prevent rotation.
- Install the blades through the motor housing's side slots, aligning the 3 holes.
- Secure each blade with 3 blade screws. Do not overtighten. Repeat for all blades.
- Note: If installing multiple fans, do not mix blades and screws from different models.
Remote Control and Wiring Instruction:
- Place the receiver through the hanging bracket and connect wires according to the diagram.
- Connect the receiver to the hanger bracket (flat side facing up).
- Connect the 3P connector from the hanger bracket to the DC POWER INPUT socket of the receiver.
- Connect the 3P light connector from the fan motor assembly to the 3P LIGHT socket of the receiver.
- Connect the 3P motor connector from the fan motor assembly to the 3P MOTOR socket of the receiver.
- Connect the 1P yellow/green connectors of the fan motor assembly and hanger bracket.
Remote Control Setting and Operation
Direction Switch: Controls air flow. UP for winter function (warm air down), DOWN for summer function (breeze). Turn fan OFF before changing direction.
Operating Transmitter:
- Install 2x LR03/AAA 1.5V batteries (not included). Remove batteries if not used for a long time.
- Store the transmitter away from excessive heat or humidity.
- Setting the codes on the receiver:
- Learning code matching mode: Turn on the supply power within 5 seconds and press the REMOTE CONTROL "Fan ON/OFF" button for 3 seconds. A long "beep" sound indicates successful learning. (Learning mode is not accepted after the power supply has been on for longer than 30 seconds).
Remote Control Notes:
- If the remote control cannot control the receiver, check battery connection, polarity, and battery life.
- Check for interference from other remote-controlled products with the same frequency.
- Low battery voltage can affect sensitivity and signal reception. The indicator light will flash when the battery is low.
- Note: Ensure the ground wire is connected correctly to prevent light issues.
- Ensure the fan ceiling cover does not press the antenna or wires to avoid damage or short-circuiting.
Wiring Diagram:
A diagram shows connections between AC Power Input (L, N, Ground), Receiver (AC IN L, AC IN N, Ground), and Fan Wires (Motor, Light, Ground).
Remote Control Notes:
- Uses RF wireless digit emission technique.
- Contact support for maintenance if the remote control or receiver are damaged.
- Remote control can be operated from any angle within its range.
- The memory function saves the last status (light and direction) when power is turned off and resumes upon power restoration.
Making the Electric Connections
Connect electrical wires accurately according to the diagram.
Warning: Turn off the main fuse box before wiring to avoid electric shock.
- Connect 220-240V main power to the Terminal Block on the hanger bracket.
- Plug the receiver into the hanger bracket (flat side facing up).
- Insert the 3P connector of the hanger bracket into the DC POWER INPUT socket of the receiver.
- Insert the 3P light connector of the fan motor assembly into the 3P LIGHT socket of the receiver.
- Insert the 3P motor connector of the fan motor assembly into the 3P MOTOR socket of the receiver.
- Connect the 1P yellow/green connectors of the fan motor assembly and hanger bracket.
Installing the Blades
Insert the blades through the motor housing's side slots and align them with the 3 holes. Secure the blades with 3 blade screws. Ensure screws are tightened properly but not over-tightened to avoid damaging the blades. Repeat for all blades.
Note: If installing multiple fans, be careful not to mix blades and screws as each model is designed with specific materials and parts.
Installing the LED Light and Glass Shade
Align the lamp holder's screw holes with those on the motor and attach both parts using the provided screws.
Connect the LED light's wires to the fan motor's wires.
Carefully install the glass shade into the main body and turn it clockwise to lock it.
Warning: Do not over tighten when installing the glass shade.
Balancing Kit
The Balancing Kit should be used if there is an unacceptable amount of fan wobble after installation.
- Turn the fan on and set it to the speed where wobble is greatest.
- Turn off the fan. Select one blade and place the balance clip halfway between the blade holder and the blade tip on the trailing edge.
- Turn the fan on again. Note if the wobble increased or decreased. Turn off, move the clip to another blade, and retest. Repeat for all blades, noting the blade with the greatest improvement.
- Move the clip back to the blade that showed the greatest improvement. Move the clip inward and outward on this blade to find the position that gives the greatest improvement.
- Remove the clip and install a balancing weight to the top of the blade along the centerline near the clip's position.
- If the wobble persists, try using the balancing clip and additional weights.
Troubleshooting
Problem: The fan does not start up
- Troubleshooting Steps:
- Check all fuses or circuit breakers.
- Turn off electrical power and check all wire connections.
Problem: The fan emits noises
- Troubleshooting Steps:
- Allow a "break-in" period for new fans at medium or high speed. Try to diagnose the noise source (blades, motor, light kit). The light kit can sometimes be the source of noise.
- Ensure all screws in the fan assembly and light kit are tight and properly threaded. Tighten screws at least once a year.
- Ensure the light kit is securely fastened to the fan, and all glass screws are finger tightened only.
- Ensure the mounting bracket is snugly installed to the junction box.
- Check if wire nuts in the switch housing or canopy are rattling against each other or the housing wall. Use electrical tape if necessary.
- Ensure the canopy is not touching the ceiling.
- Verify that screws fastening blade holders to the motor are tight, using the provided lock washers.
Problem: The fan does not produce much air
- Troubleshooting Steps:
- The fan may be too small for the room size.
- The room may contain items obstructing airflow.
- The fan may be running in reverse (air directed upward).
Problem: Fan wobbling
- Troubleshooting Steps:
- Note: A small amount of wobble is considered acceptable.
- Ensure the mounting bracket is tightly fixed to the ceiling. Tighten screws if necessary.
- Ensure all screws holding the blades to the blade support and the blade support to the motor are tight. Ensure light kit and glass screws are tight.
