The RM mini 3 unit features a Micro USB power input port and a reset button on the back. The front has an LED indicator.

Adding a Device and LED Indicator

The RM mini 3 is used to control various home appliances via infrared signals. The device's LED indicator provides status information:

LED Indicator Status:

• Blue indicator flashes quickly: Waiting for configuration (device is in factory state or has been reset). You can tap 'Add device' in the app to complete configuration.
• Blue indicator flashes slowly: Indicates the network is down, the power supply was interrupted and then restored, or the device is in the process of configuration.
• White indicator flashes once: The device is transmitting an infrared signal, which occurs when learning infrared codes or controlling an appliance.

Important Notes for Setup:

• Do not use non-ASCII characters in your Wi-Fi name or password, as this may cause configuration failure. The device supports 2.4G 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi only.
• Place the device in an open area. When learning infrared codes, point your remote control towards the top of the RM mini 3, keeping the distance less than 1 meter (approximately 3 feet).
• Follow the user guide for device configuration. If you encounter issues, please contact authorized distributors or the BroadLink support team.
• All technical specifications are subject to actual product performance.

Setup Guide

Follow these steps to set up your RM mini 3:

Step 1: Install the BroadLink App

Scan the QR code provided on the package to download and install the BroadLink app on your smartphone. Alternatively, visit http://upgrade.broadlink.com.cn/getapp/ from your phone's web browser.

Step 2: Connect RM mini 3 to Power

Connect the RM mini 3 to a USB power source using the provided cable. Ensure the adapter provides 5V DC and at least 500mA. The device should be in configuration mode, indicated by a rapidly flashing LED.

To reset the device: Long press the reset button on the back with a slim needle for more than 5 seconds until the indicator flashes quickly.

Step 3: Connect Smartphone to Wi-Fi

Ensure your smartphone is connected to the same 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network you intend to use for the RM mini 3.

Step 4: Add Device in the App

Open the BroadLink app on your smartphone. Enter your Wi-Fi password to perform a quick configuration. The app will guide you through adding the RM mini 3 device.

Step 5: Control Panel

Once the device is added, you can access the control panel within the app to manage your smart home devices:

• Tap to add a remote control panel for specific appliances.
• Tap to create custom scenes.
• Tap to add new devices.
• Tap to view your list of added devices.
