Setup Guide
Package Content
The package includes the following items:
- BroadLink RM Pro device
- AC/DC Adapter
- USB Cable
Device Indicators:
- Wi-Fi LED: Indicates Wi-Fi status.
- Yellow LED: General status indicator.
Device Ports:
- Micro USB: For power connection.
- Reset: Button to reset the device.
Plug in your RM Pro
To begin setup, plug the RM Pro's power supply into a socket and ensure the device is within your Wi-Fi coverage area.
Initial Status: When plugged in, the blue light on the RM Pro should flash quickly. This indicates it's ready for configuration.
LED Confirmation: Ensure the Wi-Fi LED on the RM Pro is flashing rapidly (approximately 5-6 times per second). If it is not, press and hold the Reset button ? until the blue light flashes quickly.

Download and Install the 'e-Control' App
To control your RM Pro, you need to download and install the free 'e-Control' app on your smartphone.
You can download the app in one of the following ways:
- Scan the QR code: Use your smartphone's camera to scan the provided QR code [QR Code] to download and install the app directly.
- App Store Search: Download and install the free BroadLink app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store by searching for 'e-Control' or 'BroadLink'.
Pairing the RM Pro with Your Smartphone
Ensure your smartphone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network ? where you intend to use the RM Pro.
- Open the e-Control app.
- Input your Wi-Fi password and press Configure.
- If the Auto Connect method does not work, try the AP connect method by pressing the AP mode button on the screen's top right.
Confirmation: After successful pairing, the Wi-Fi LED on the RM Pro will turn off, and the RM Pro will appear in the device list within the app.

Using the e-Control App
Home Page and Navigation
The app's home page provides access to various functions. You can navigate through different screens by swiping left ⬅️ or right ➡️.
- Swipe Left: Accesses menus like Menu, Scenes, Add Device.
- Swipe Right: Navigates to the Device List.
Pressing the ➕ icon provides quick access to:
- Add remote: To configure your old remote controls to work with the app.
- Add scene: To automate your daily routines.
- Add device: To add more devices like RM Pro or A1 sensors.
The Device list screen displays all Wi-Fi devices ? currently being controlled by the app.
Adding a Remote Device
To add a remote control for a specific device:
- From the Home page, press the ➕ icon.
- Select Add remote.
- Choose the RM Pro device you want to use.
- You have three ways to add a remote:
- Search for the device model.
- Choose the device type and learn its signals.
- Create a custom remote control skin.
The e-Control app supports over 80,000 remote control skins for popular devices. You can search for your appliance by name or model number.
Learning Device Remotes
The RM Pro can learn any device's remote control signals* and create a custom skin within the e-Control app.
Example: Adding an Air Conditioner
- Press Air Conditioner. The RM Pro will enter learning mode.
- Point your existing AC remote control at the RM Pro.
- Press a button on your AC remote (e.g., On/Off).
- Wait for the app to learn the signal. The RM Pro will find the appropriate control skin.
Note: The device being learned must use 433MHz or Infrared (IR) signals.

Creating Custom Remote Skins (User-Defined)
To create your own remote control interface:
- Choose the User-Defined option.
- Follow the step-by-step instructions displayed on the app screen to design your custom remote.

Setting Scenes
Scenes allow you to automate multiple actions with a single command.
To create a scene:
- Use the command string feature to define actions (e.g., opening motorized curtains, turning on speakers, or lights).
- After setting up the scene (e.g., a 'Wake-up' scene), you can activate it by simply pressing its name on the home page. All defined actions will execute automatically.

Sharing Settings
You can share your RM Pro's settings with family members or other users.
- Swipe your Home page left ⬅️.
- Select Share.
- This allows others to access the configured features and settings of your RM Pro.

Setup Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues related to the Wi-Fi LED status:
- Wi-Fi light flashing quickly: The RM Pro is in its original factory state and ready for configuration.
- Wi-Fi light flashing slowly: The RM Pro is waiting for configuration. Press the ➕ icon and select Add device to start. (This occurs after 4 flashes and a 1-second pause).
- Wi-Fi light flashing very slowly: The RM Pro has not connected to the Wi-Fi network ?. Check if your Wi-Fi network is working. (Flashes once every 3 seconds).
- Wi-Fi light flashing slowly and continuously: Configuration has failed. Please reset the RM Pro ? and try configuring it again. (Flashes continuously at 1 flash per second).
Protecting Your Device
To secure your device and prevent unauthorized access:
- Connect the RM Pro only to your home Wi-Fi router ?.
- Once connected, you can lock the device from the Device Info screen within the app.

This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
- This device may not cause harmful interference.
- This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
FCC Radiation Exposure Statement
This equipment complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment. It should be installed and operated with a minimum distance of 20cm between the radiator and your body.
