GPS Tracker

When a GPS tracker is connected and receives a signal, GPS data (coordinate, speed, route) is saved as a file named "XXXXX.NMEA". This data can be viewed on Google Maps when playing back videos using the provided GV Player. The GPS route and speed information can also be used with third-party software that supports GPS data input for video editing.

Tips:

  • Receiving the GPS signal may take a few minutes upon first connection.
  • Weather and environmental factors (e.g., indoor locations, high buildings) can affect GPS signal strength.
  • Ensure the GPS module is mounted externally and not placed inside a metal case or interior.
  • The GV Player is supported on Windows platform only. It can be downloaded from the official website or obtained from the seller.

3.3 Optional Accessories

Wired Remote

The wired remote includes a built-in microphone. A short press activates manual emergency mode, saving a video file named "Key 001 002...". A long press turns Wi-Fi on or off. The LED indicator on the remote shows the dash cam status:

5 Getting Started

5.1 Installation

Please refer to the 'Quick Installation Guide', and also an installation video guide found at www.vsysto.com/installation.

NOTE: Please test the dash cam before installing it on your motorcycle. You can read the user manual or contact the seller if there is any question.

5.2 Inserting a Memory Card

Insert the memory card into the card slot until it clicks. To remove the memory card, push to eject the memory card out of the slot.

NOTE:

  1. Make sure inserting the memory card with the right direction: The golden finger side of the memory card should face the screen of the DVR.
  2. Do not remove or insert the memory card when the device is being powered on. This may damage the memory card.
  3. Please use a high-speed micro SD card with CLASS 10.
  4. Please format cards before use and anytime a significant amount of data has been collected to ensure that the device and SD cards are working properly together.

6 Operation

5.3 Powering On and Off

The dash cam will automatically power on once the ignition switch is on and start recording when a TF card is inserted. It will automatically power off and stop recording once the bike is not being used (it may continue recording for about 3 minutes with a smart power cable).

NOTE:

  1. When using the ACC power cable, connect the yellow wire to the 12V ACC port of your motorcycle (KEY ignition).
  2. The smart power cable connects directly to the motorcycle battery. It works by detecting voltage changes and continuous vibration.

5.4 Voice Prompt Indicator

When you power on the dash cam and start recording, you will hear a voice prompt indicating recording is on. When you stop recording, you will hear a voice prompt indicating recording is off.

5.5 Reverse L/R (R-Cam)

You can set the reverse mirror image for the rear camera in the menu settings:

  • OFF: Rear video clips (recorded into SD card) and live view (monitor/App) show the correct left/right side.
  • ON: Rear video clips (recorded into SD card) and live view (monitor/App) show a mirror image of the left/right side.

5.6 Switch Display Mode

In standby mode or video mode, press the display switch button to cycle through different display modes (front camera only, rear camera only, 1:1 split view, Picture-in-Picture (PIP)).

6.1 Video Recording

1) Normal Video Mode

It starts video recording automatically when the unit powers on. The LED indicator on the wired remote will flash slowly, and you will hear a voice prompt, "Start Recording". Recording stops automatically when the unit powers off (it will continue recording for about 3 minutes with a smart power cable). To stop recording manually, press the 'OK' button; you will hear a voice prompt, "Stop Recording".

Loop recording (enabled by default): This mode continuously records videos in segments of a set duration (default 3 Minutes). If the memory card reaches its maximum capacity, the oldest footage will be deleted to store the most recent footage. The video clip time can be set in the dash cam configuration.

Loop off: Records in 30-minute clips for both front and rear cameras without overwriting until the memory reaches maximum capacity, at which point recording stops.

NOTE: You cannot record videos without a micro SD card inserted.

2) Emergency Video Mode

G-Sensor Event Recording: Automatically activates emergency recording mode when detecting a collision. The LED indicator on the wired remote will flash quickly. It saves a video file named 'GSR 001 002 003...'.

Manual Event Recording: Press the emergency button on the wired remote during recording to manually activate emergency recording mode. The LED indicator on the wired remote will flash quickly. It saves a video file named 'KEY 001 002 003...'.

NOTE: Video files recorded in emergency mode are protected from being overwritten.
