- Proceed with installation if the test is successful.
Instructions of the Matched 12V→5V Power Module
- Normal Version: Connect the red wire to the battery positive (+), black wire to the battery negative (-), and yellow wire to the 12V port controlled by the ignition key (ACC port).
- Smart Version: Connect as the normal version. The power module requires occasional movement (waggle) every 3 minutes to maintain power supply; otherwise, it will cut off automatically.
Quick Installation Steps:
- Identify suitable locations for the front & rear cameras, wired controller (optional), main unit (typically under the seat), and GPS tracker (optional).
- Plan the routing for all cables (camera, controller, GPS, power) before installation.
- Securely fix and connect all components using 3M tape, screws, or cable ties.
- Power Module Connection:
- Normal Power Module: Connect red wire to battery positive, black wire to battery negative, yellow wire to the ACC port.
- Smart Power Module: Connect red wire to battery positive, black wire to battery negative. The DVR turns on with the engine and off after the engine stops.
Installation methods vary by motorcycle model. Cable connection definitions may differ. Keep camera and lens cables away from high-voltage circuits like xenon lamps or ignition plugs. For interference issues on carburetor systems, consider changing the R-value ignition plug.
Quick Adjustment
- Remove the lens cap. View the screen and rotate the lens body to adjust the horizontal view angle.
- Power Module Operation:
- Normal Power Module: DVR turns on/off with the engine.
- Smart Power Module: DVR turns on when the engine starts and off when the engine stops.
Accessories Installation
Damping Bracket
- Place the rubber damping ring onto the camera body.
- Mount the camera body onto the bracket. Adjust the angle and tighten screws to secure it.
Cameras
Ensure the concave and convex bayonets of the connectors match correctly.
- It is recommended to install the extension cable first, then connect the main unit and camera separately for easier installation.
- If the distance between the main unit and camera is less than 0.5 meters, the extension cable may not be needed. Keep it for future use.
Adjust the bracket to achieve the desired horizontal view angle by observing the screen or smartphone. Secure the bracket using the provided double-sided foam tape (for upward mounting) or screws (for downward mounting).
Battery Power Cable (Optional)
Ensure correct bayonet matching. Connect the red wire to the battery anode (+) and the black wire to the battery cathode (-). Connect the "U" shape terminal cable to the power module *after* connecting to the battery to prevent voltage fluctuations from damaging the module.
Fix the power module to a suitable location on the motorcycle using double-sided foam tape.
ACC Power Cable (Optional)
Connect the red wire to the battery anode (+), the black wire to the battery cathode (-), and the yellow wire to a 12V wire controlled by the ignition key.
Fix the wired controller to a suitable location on the motorcycle using double-sided foam tape.
Wired Controller
Fix the wired controller to a suitable location on your motorcycle using double-sided foam tape.
- LED Light: Indicates the DVR's working status.
- Buttons: Short press any button to save an emergency video file and take a snapshot. Both buttons have the same function.
Wired Controller Indicator Light Description:
- Slow flash: Normal video recording.
- Quick flash: Emergency video started; front and rear cameras take a picture simultaneously. The indicator light flashes quickly. When the current emergency video is recorded, the controller resumes slow flashing.
- Constant light: DVR is in standby state.
- Note: Files generated by the wired controller are named with "KEY".
GPS Module (Optional)
Ensure correct bayonet matching. The "GPS" icon must face the sky.
Fix the GPS module to a suitable location on your motorcycle using double-sided foam tape. Ensure the "GPS" icon faces the sky directly without obstructions to avoid signal shielding.
